My son just got his parole answer of FI 6R. Rumor has it that it may change once he completes his Lifeskills class. This is all new to me so can anyone please shed some light on what exactly this may mean with regard to his release date.

His last letter also asked me to check with y'all to see if you have heard the same thing that he has...that most everybody is getting an FI 6R lately. Anyone know?

Welcome to PTO,

In Texas, a FI 6R means:

An FI-6R decision grants parole approval for release of an offender upon completion of a TDCJ Rehabilitation Program and not earlier than the date established by the Board panel making the decision

My husaband is still waiting on his answer but several have gotten there's and quite a few were given FI R6.But not one of them were denied,so at least they are releasing more than I thought they would.
