My husband was just transferred to Shutter Creek. I'm wondering if anyone else has any experience with it? What's it like etc etc....

I don't know anything about Shutter Creek, but is it North Bend, by Coos Bay? If it is, it is our most favorite place to go together! Not to the prison :D but the Southern Oregon coast. I hope you can start planning a visit soon!

my friend is going to go there the fire fighiting thing........do the men and women work togeher??? can an inmate visit another inmate??? if they are at the same prison??

Hi ~ I don't know about the visiting part of your question, but yes, men & women DO work together, is this part of a " boot camp"? My son is there with a boot camp & for the 1st 2 months they may be there WITH gals, but are not allowed to even LOOK at them, nor speak. It gets more lax as the 6 month program progresses, though. He has been there since April & will be coming home in August. Let me know if I can help you in any way, ok? OK!

Does anyone currently have anyone at Shutters Creek? I would like to arrange a ride share from the Portland area for Sat/Sun visitations.

I'm still looking for anyone that might have someone at Shutter Creek.. either in general population or in the Summit Program. I'm in the Portland area.
