SnakeCharmer 10-10-2006, 12:35 PM was just wondering if everyone elses loved one has received their care package. we sent his off before the 30th.. but he just got it this past thursday.. least he got it all right.
Wish we could send one every few months!!
Does anyone know if we will be able to do a christmas package this year?

Blueyez94 10-10-2006, 12:54 PM My husband was saying there will be a christmas package but it will be a food package and don't know yet who we will order thru..I know last year including the processing fee you could only order $103.95 worth of stuff..
mother1952 10-10-2006, 02:58 PM Wonder if we are going to know ahead of time or is it going to be last minute thing then we all have to figure out how to come up with the money. Mother1952....GOD BLESS ALL
SnakeCharmer 10-10-2006, 05:10 PM Thats just what i was wondering..... it would be nice if they would let us know ahead of time. Would be REALY nice if we could pick out everything on own on and not have to order it thur a company, so that we would KNOW that we could get all their fav things.
Maybe they will know a little ahead of time.. i want to help his mom since i have gotten back in touch with them two.. .. plus it would help her out a little.

Lysbeth 10-10-2006, 06:45 PM The Christmas box will more than likely be contracted thru the same food company or another again this year. Now that they've done that for two (or three?) years in a row, I doubt we will ever see Alabama go back to us doing their food box ourselves again.
Usually they pass out the Christmas box forms the first week of November, and if it's the same company as last year they likely will again because that company had two deadlines, boxes ordered by Nov. 15th were shipped to arrive around one date and boxes ordered by Nov. 30th, the final deadline, were shipped to arrive around a later date.
I think it would be safe to assume again that you will be allowed to spend up to $100 on items (the additional mentioned above was shipping cost that wasn't included in the limit) and that you'll have until November 30th to place an order.
Smelly 10-10-2006, 08:15 PM Im not quite at 25 posts so I cant give the link
Smelly 10-10-2006, 08:16 PM It is the same package company as last year same limit
Smelly 10-10-2006, 08:16 PM Here is the link http://www.inmatepackageprogram.com/2005/order/start.asp
mother1952 10-11-2006, 06:58 PM So can we order a box Nov15 and again Nov 30? I was wondering for I knew they was suppose to get 4 packages a year. God Bless All...mother1952
pepper24 10-12-2006, 01:18 AM The link is not activated for Alabama, yet:( .
Mother - I believe they just have 2 deadlines. We still only get to send 1 Christmas package, but depending on which deadline you make, depends on how soon (or late) they will receive their packages.
Smelly 10-12-2006, 12:03 PM The link works fine. I tried it twice.
Smelly 10-12-2006, 12:04 PM Try cutting and pasting it.
pepper24 10-12-2006, 12:07 PM It would let me click on the link and take me to the website, but the only state it would let me click on is Virginia. It says Ala, Geo, and the other states listed will be added soon. Is that what yours is doing? Or, will it let you view Alabama?
Smelly 10-12-2006, 12:08 PM  I was not impressed with the food list most of that stuff or something like it is available from the commisary.
pepper24 10-12-2006, 12:36 PM REALLY!?!?!?!?! So, it may just be better to send $ and let them just get what they want from commisary. I'll have to look into it.
Smelly 10-12-2006, 01:43 PM It lets me view Alabama click where it says Alabama product list.
Yes most of the stuff is on the commisary I have a recent commisary list and compared the Holliday products list to it. Some of the things they can't get on the commisary are : Cashews, mixed nuts, olives, microwave hamburger helper, bacon slices, wild rice, chocloate covered peanuts, coffee candy. A couple other thngs but not much. I would write to your person and ask them whether theyd like to get the holliday package or the equivelent in a money order thats what Im doing. Hope i have been of some help.
Lysbeth 10-12-2006, 10:45 PM So can we order a box Nov15 and again Nov 30? I was wondering for I knew they was suppose to get 4 packages a year. God Bless All...mother1952
The link to order for Alabama probably won't be valid until after Nov. 1st, when most of the forms have been handed out to the inmates.
Then after it's turned on, you will likely have until Nov. 30th to place an order.
You can only order one box. What I was saying about the 15th and 30th was that, last year, if your box was ordered by the 15th it was shipped to the prison on an earlier date in December than boxes that were ordered between the 15th and 30th.

Smelly 10-15-2006, 01:26 PM That is for my PTO homies that for some strange reason were having trouble with the link. :)
Lysbeth 10-17-2006, 03:25 AM Thanks Smelly!
Glad to see the bacon on there - I was just telling my guy (after having bought some of that recently) that I didn't understand why they weren't selling that in the prison stores, that's like the perfect microwaveable/non-refrigerated prison store food...
proudmom 10-18-2006, 10:52 AM That is for my PTO homies that for some strange reason were having trouble with the link. :)
thanks a lot!! i've been trying to get info on the christmas packages for a while now, since like a lot of others with guys in the system,i'm on a fixed income and my family will be helping me give him a christmas,of sorts.you have given me more info than he has even been able to get at bibb.this is his first christmas there.
Blueyez94 10-18-2006, 12:44 PM They passed out the forms this past weekend at Bullock..and was told you should be able to order online now...
Smelly 10-18-2006, 04:54 PM You have been able to order on line since the first day i posted the link
Smelly 10-18-2006, 05:03 PM Online ordering link
Hope it works

Blueyez94 10-18-2006, 05:03 PM Yes you have, some people had mentioned they were having problems with the link and the link should work now. I was asking this weekend at the visit if anyone had complained about ordering online and some officers said that some people had complained and to there knowledge the link should work now...
Blueyez94 10-18-2006, 05:06 PM Thanks for the link, Smelly....It worked for me...thanks again..
pepper24 10-18-2006, 06:34 PM I have a question. You have to enter the inmate # in order to view the items, and it says you only have 30 minutes to complete the order...can you only log in once?!?! Or can I log in now, check out the list, then go back in at a later date to order?!?!?!
Smelly 10-18-2006, 07:11 PM If you go here http://www.inmatepackageprogram.com/2005/order/start.asp it will take you to the page you need if you only want to look at the list of things click Alabam Product list when you get there. I did post the whole list earlier on in the thread. I guess I did post the link to the product list itself early on also.
Smelly 10-18-2006, 07:13 PM I have done my best to help because I know how important this is to everybody. :)
Smelly 10-18-2006, 07:16 PM Would anyone happen to know why Alabama cant have the pepperoni slices like some of the other states?
pepper24 10-18-2006, 09:42 PM THANKS, SMELLY!!! You've been a HUGE help!!!
