hello.. I know i have asked this question before..(sorry..). My fiance is currently in Ulster for about a week. I have thought his sentence was a 6 years flat and have read many info about the determined sentence, Today I have recieved a letter from him and he told me that his counselor told him that he can maybe get out as early as 2 1/2 years determining how good he is.. This threw me off.. Not sure what is going on.. can counselors be wrong? thank you for any infos..

well, is his bid for a violent felony? this means alot on early parole.
it determines his program eligibility

thank you for responding:) . On the DOC site, its says 2 count of att robbery 1st class C. I would assume its a violent felony. My fiance also said that it was a violent felony crime. So confusing..Wish I could find the final truth because it's raising my hopes up:o . It's raising his hopes up too. hate to see him get disappointed... hoping the counselor is right but trying not to get my hopes up too high because I know how that feels when it comes crashing down.... thank you for any infos

PM it to me and I can tell you (leave out the personal info if you want-) I need the sentence, conditional release date etc. And yes the counsellor's are wrong especially in the Reception Centers-sometimes. That sounds like a violent which means there is no way around him serving 6/7ths of the 6 years.

Robbery 1st is armed roddery so that would be a violent. However, I don't know if reduced plea of Attempted takes the violent a way. The parole board would look at the crime and not what he was convicted for.

does not make the violent go away-she got her answer in a letter last night --it is 6 flat.
