Well I know what you mean about black men loving meat on their womans bones. I know i still want to look as good as possible for my man cause he love me he way i am but I want to get to the way i was before i had my daughter. But he is always tell me i look good and not to worry.

Well. This was a surprising thread title. I say that because all black men are not the same. You know, they're all different. Individuals, even.

Nothing wrong with liking thick women. But I'm quite sure that all black men don't.

In my experience black men like poontang and if it is clean and a woman has pride in herself he doesn't mind some extra weight....

That is a very generalized statement! But I do find it to be true most of the time. LOL Thats what I love about many other cultures other than my own (I am caucasian), they arent so caught up in the media's portrayal of "beautiful." They like WOMANLY bodies and not 12 year old boy bodies LOL. I am not saying ALL but moreso than white men. There is also a strength and beauty I see in alot of black men (NOT ALL!!) that I have yet to see in a white man. Just my opinion!

I don't know if it is true or not- maybe more black men like thick than other races. My brother is white and he always liked pencil thin women till he met his girlfriend of 3 years who is wider than she is tall- she treats him like a king and is a very sweet person.

I took the thread as a cute light-hearted reference to black men in general. In general meaning not all but some...where the shoe fits...wear it...if not pass it by.

Most black men that I know (and I'm black) do like a thick woman. Now, I know some who love a woman who looks sick and malnurished...but most that I know like a curvy woman. Heck, look at every rap video....nothing but women with big butts and hips.

I can't comment on other races so if I saw hispanic men like thick women, I probably wouldn't respond, cuz I don't know!

Yeah i think most blk men love thicker women but what i have noticed is these younger cats be liking them some skinny chicks. I am in college and i notice alot of these 18- 20 year old blk guys be going for lil cheerleader chicks but that might jus be around here all i can do is say what i notice. I jsut knew back when iwas in high school all the blk men i knew living in all blk neighborhood they didnt like skinny chicks no matter what color. but i say what ever the person like is what they like and no one should say its good or bad

well, I don't know much about the topic except for what I've been told or read because Ive never been around enough black men (I grew up and lived my adult life in areas that had VERY FEW black men ) so I can't even say what I personally have observed to be a preference. I can only comment on what my guy says. when we met I had already lost about 55 lbs and lost another 10 lbs since I've known him. I'm 5'5" and by then weighed 125. He would tell me that I was so tiny and felt very fragual and he felt like he would break me. ( I don't see it because I don't feel small even though he is a big guy) but he says I have a black woman's butt and he wouldn't mine if I gained a few lbs.( Not sure what he meant by the butt comment but it's not the first time I've been told that) So, yeah, my guy likes alittle meat on my bones, but unforunately for him I'm more comfortable with the size I am now and don't want to gain weight. But I guess it's all good because he says he loves me no matter if I'm stick thin or 300 lbs

Fourteen years ago, I was 275 lbs. and 5'1" . I was married to my daughter's father at the time, who was white like me, but I had no attractive qualities to any other white man... including him eventually. But I noticed that I was being flirted with by black men of all kinds! I lost weight slowly and steadily until I reached the 125 lbs. I now weigh. During the time that the weight was coming off, I began to notice attention from men I never thought would give me the time of day. I began to truly resent the shallowness of white men and appreciate the acceptance of Latino and Black men. It's sad that it took that for me to see the "true colors" of the men I had experienced in my life. Now I find white men repulsive personally. Sorry if that is offensive to anyone. This is just one former fat woman's humble observation and opinion. By the way... when I look in the mirror, I always see the fat woman I was, not the phat woman I have become. That will forever be my personal battle.

I began to truly resent the shallowness of white men and appreciate the acceptance of Latino and Black men.
