I finally get to see my son on Sunday. The only problem is when Augusta called me to tell me I could visit , they didn't tell me about the rules and regulations. I don't want to lose my visit by doing something wrong. I don't even know if I get to give my son a hug for the first time in a year. I was so excited that they got him moved out of the county jail, and that they were kind enough to call me from the prison to tell me he was there, that I forgot to ask several of my questions. Can I hug my son? Can I take quarters with me for the vending machines? How many people can visit at one time? (he has alot of brothers and sisters) Does anyone know the answers to any of these questions, or does anyone have a loved one in that prison? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,

You can call them and ask about what to wear, how many come come, etc. Do you have to fill out forms first and have them approved? Maybe not, since it's a medical facility? You might want to find out if you have to do that before you go. It would be a shame to go there and be turned away because they didn't give you enough infomation. I'm happy for you that you'll get to visit.

Thank you. That is a good idea. I spoke with a counseler today and she told us that we could visit but didn't give us any other details. Maybe I can get ahold of someone else in the morning. I sure would hate to get turned away after driving for 3 hours.
