Hi Everyone,
I am going to be in Alabama in November(9th-17th). I am flying into Mobile from England and I am not renting a car. Can anyone tell me what kind of public transport there is from Mobile to Atmore. I cant find anything on the internet so any information would be great.

Can you drive? Because if you can, I found out last time I flew to Alabama from Vermont that is was way cheaper to go with the package plan with the ticket and a car rental than just purchasing the ticket alone.It was 800 for thr ticket but with renting a car too it was only 350.

Lisa I may be wrong but I believe that the only way there from mobile is to drive yourself or take a taxi cab which would be very costly. I Believe if someone stays at the Hospitality House that they provide you transportation to the prison and back but I dont think you can stay there more than 2 nights unless it is for execution. Hope this information helps. I plan on visiting the area those same dates, if I see that I can be of some help to you I will let you know before your arrival date.

Thanks Pam I did have to change my dates to the 16th-25th anyway due to my friend not being able to fly on the 9th. However recent complications with the visiting list mean that I may not be able to visit at all.See the thread I just feel like crying. Thanks for your offer of help though and if anything changes I will pm you.

I stayed at the Hospitality House there in Atmore this month when i went for a visit... the lady that runs the house.. is Super Sweet!!!!
