CASAT program? Can you give me the details and criteria? how is it? Does anyone know if you truly get out in phase two on work release?:D

My husband said some people are getting out (the eligible ones such as non-violent offenders who have completed their programs and have no violent crimes ever) and others are not (people who have violent crimes in the past or who have it ordered by the judge but don't actually qualify). They are now giving those people phase 1 of CASAT but they don't get to do phase 2. This way they complete the judge's requirement but they still don't get work release.

My husband said he's kind of glad the judge didn't order him CASAT because he would be scared they'd only give him phase 1. This way the TRC will evaluate him.

Most of the time, if you are eligible for it and meet the criteria, you will get out in Phase 2. My husband has seen lots of people get out. None of them have had violent crimes. If you're in for drugs, you usually get out (as long as you don't get any tickets and you complete the programs).
