They got his page updated last night ( THANK GOD ) and he has been moved to Lawton Community Work Center. Its still not OKC where I wanted him but it is an hour closer to me which cuts the 2 plus hour drive I was making in half!! Now to call and see what the rules and everything is so I can go visit. Because his case manager said he was including the stuff they needed so I wouldn't have to go through the reapproval steps again. Oh I hope he is right. I want to see my baby!!! :hee:

Yes...Good news! So glad you got at least 1 hour cut from your drive. That 1 hour makes a difference. Hope you get to see him soon and all is well!

Thank you Honey I found the pic and added the writing awhile ago. I love it because my hunny (Terry) is a full blood native american. The little smoking guy is actually one of PTOs little icon guys hit the button to see them all and he is at the bottom. :hee:

I'm sooo happy for you and your Hunny, MommaHen! I know it has to be a relief for you to finally know where he is! That not knowing is maddening!

life with ODOC could never be that simple. I finally got the lady on the phone and although the page lists him at LCCC he isnt actually there he is at Walters CC Work Center another 45 minutes south of Lawton which brings the drive back up to a 2 hour one for me. I can go visit this weekend since I am already on his list(YEAH) but to get his full 8 hours I would have to visit both dys since they only do visitation from 10:30 to 2:30 each day/ So that means two drives or an overnight stay. I swear DOC is going to put me in the damn nut house yet. ANyone go down that way? or live near there? that might give me some tips or short cuts?

I can't offer any help, as I am in Tulsa, but I wanted to say that I am so sorry, that really sucks. It figures that DOC would do something like that.... :(

I'm so happy for the two of you. I'm glad this "part" is over. Now he is a step closer to home! Remember...this place just might be the "best" one for him. And I know we would all go across the world and back for our guys. Hang on...just a few more steps to go...

Im happy that he is out of OSP finally for you. I used to travel Oklahoma a lot and dont know if I could remeber much about shortcuts unless I bought a map.

But then the smaller towns you really have to watch for the speed traps.
If you are in OKC then would you could go toward Mustang I think it is. Its SW if the City? Correct? Stay on that road until you get to Union, I think turn left to go south. Drive thru Chickasha, Duncan. That raod is 81 or 181. If you have a map check it out.
