Hi Roberta, They are supposed to be Tuesday and Thursday at 9pm EST.
I went last Thursday, but there were no one in the "parents" so I spoke to other people in the "lobby"

I am new to this myself. And my typing is so slow. I find it hard to type in the chat room because of my slow typing. But I have to say, that since I have been doing these "posts" I am getting faster. But I would not hire me for a job as a typest haha

See, Roberta, my sense of humor is coming back to me since I have been on this site. It really helps me to feel the connection to other people with similar problems. I don't feel so alone anymore.

when is the next parent chat?

Hi, I am brand new, but I would be interested.

I would be interested as well, I'll try to get my 25 in soon....

We had been chatting on tues and thur evenings, but after a few times, people quit coming. I guess we'd have to see if there's interest again. All we have to do is set up a time and open a sub-chat room called parents or something like that.

I really don't know how to organize it again unless I or someone else opens the room and see if anyone comes. But, you do have to have 25 posts and be a member for 2 weeks to get in.

I'd wouldn't mind participating again if others are interested.

I would be interested, but also have no clue as how to do it! But, I so enjoy the posts, it would be encouraging to have a more "instant" response sometimes. I'll keep my eyes open for it ~ Prayerfully, Nancy

I don't know for sure, but I think you have to "ok" it or something like that. Sometimes the pop-up tells you what to do. I guess I'm not much help. Sorry.

Quite awhile back, we had a few. But, pretty soon no one was showing up. Plus, we used to be able to open up a separate room for us, but I think maybe a moderator has to do it now. We probably need one of them to help organize it. Last time, seems like it took months before we finally set a day and time. But, those of us who participated really enjoyed it, so maybe something can get set up again.

Tonight I entered the chat room for the first time. I had a great conversation with everybody there. It was uplifting, informative and lord knows we all need a few smiles and lighthearted jokes right now. A breath of fresh air. I needed it. I feel better already.

Maybe we can just frequent the chat room now and again and find eachother till another chat is officially scheduled?

I'll keep popping in and out daily. Maybe we'll cross paths now and again?

What I did was click on the link "Chat Room" at the very top of PTO menu. I clicked on Float, a new window pops up and loads. At first it was just a white blank box. I had to go to Java.com and download some free installation they offered. It installed fast. Then I clicked on the Chat link again at PTO and a little chat window loaded up. Great to know its just PTO members in there.

Hello Yarnell, I don't think they are still doing the chat room meetings, we need to try to get one going again. Please join us though on any of the other threads, we kinda just post back and forth. I'm sorry about your son. ((((hugs)))) and prayers.

It seems there are no scheduled chats. I'm unsure. But what I have done sometimes is go into the chat room randomly and hope somebody else might be there at the right moment :)

The Chat Room Link is at the top of This Page in the middle of where links are. I had to go download Java on the internet first. Incase it doesn't work for you either.

Is there anyplace else that PWCIP could chat together? I went into the chat room but I had nothing in common with the others there.

There are no other chatrooms currently.

There was a time, quite a while back, when we decided we'd pick a time and day and have a sub chat room opened up for parents. Of course, it took months, but finally we did do it a few times. At first there were quite a few who joined in, then fewer and fewer. Then the chat room changed and we couldn't open a sub-room up. Just like so many things, the parents' chat just kind of died off. I see now the chat room is under the "entertainment" tab. I don't know if there's a way to open a private room or not (not really private, I guess; but, it would say it was for parents). Anyway, as far as I know, there hasn't been an organized chat for parents since then.

Please send me a reminder too PTRose, thanks for organizing this!:thumbsup:
