I was pleased with my experience there. The officers were decent and casual which helped lessen my anxiety, especially the first day when Gino and I were face to face for the first time. Gino is the top inmate in the maintenance dept. there. I was impressed with how well regarded he was by the officers. They came through at lunch to get soda from the vending machines, would see him and come over to ask how his "vacation" was going. I gathered that he told the world I was coming to visit from the sound of it! I liked that they took the time to treat him as a person and acknowledge him.:)

BY THE WAY, I AM SURPRISED --FOR SOME REASON I HAD A NEGATIVE IDEA ABOUT ATTICA IN MY HEAD--NOT SURE WHY? TV, MEDIA OR MOVIE MAYBE?

I am glad to hear that they showed him love like that... it is a good thing to know that some of the CO's still regard an inmate as a human being... I am glad that they also helped you too... :)

p.s. He probably did tell his whole world you were coming.. LOL
