I found an interesting opportunity for our loved ones on the inside. It's a correspondance school and they offer plenty of courses. Var is enrolling in the fitness and nutrition program and it's really not that expensive. If the parole board sees that he's trying and he spent money out of his own pocket to advance himself while he's in there it can only help us in the end. I had the info sent directly to Var and he can take care of everything from there. Just wanted to share that:) www.scitraining.com

I don't know if this will be helpful or not, but I signed James up for a Heating and A/C class through this program

http://www.pcdi.com/

They also offer high school classes and degree programs. Becuase his course comes with tools, we are using my address and then I take the materials to kinko's have the glue cut off the binding and then mail it to him. WE have been doing this for about 8 months and he is 3/4 of the way through finishing the course.

It was really cool because the stuff looked really hard and he has done super well. So it gives him a sense of accomplishment as well. It isn't really cheap but not super expensive either. It was about 500 for the entire program.

Hope this helps.
