Hey guys! I'm new and I'm really glad that I found you. I have gone through this on my own for a year now. My husband was just moved to Mobile Work Release and I visited once. They act like they don't want to tell me what items I can mail him or bring to visitations. If you have any ideas I would appreciate it.

Hey my boo is at mobile wr. You can bring him non food items to visitation(soap,deodorant,toothpaste etc). You can mail in packages of food to him. Also on Sunday visitation you can bring in food that yall can eat during visitation, but he cant take any of it back with him. Also they just changed visitation, its not every sunday. This sunday is the letter m thru z. next sunday is back to a thru l. pm me if you have any questions.

Just wanted to welcome you to PTO and the Alabama forum family! :)

Also, I think if you check the Work Releases subforum of the Alabama forum, there should be an old fact sheet about visitation and mail policies at Loxley WR (which is down in Mobile too) - it's a little old now as our former Moderator whose husband was there has been gone a long time, but probably the majority of the stuff in it is still the same today. It should give you an idea anyway. Check it out when you get a chance! :yes:

Just checked - in the sticky threads (at the top of the forum), there is not only a sticky thread for Loxley but a sticky thread for Mobile WR as well! So check it out :)
