I keep hearing a lot about the difficulty of getting mail to the inmate.
Is this on purpose or just lack of efficiency?
I wonder if ALL the mailrooms are like this?
Has anyone had a good experience?
Are there things you can do to keep from getting on the "bad list" with them?

I have not had problems with mail, sometimes a little slow but as long as I follow the rules everything is ok. Seems like every brig makes up there own rules about mail, we can only send cards, pictures (no porn and use good judgment) and letters. I have sent local newspapers and he has got them too! He did mention a buddy sent him a letter with some prety graphic details about a encounter with a girl and they called him down to the mail room about it. They told him he should write the friend and let him know things like that were not allowed he also had to return the letter. I don't think that was too bad.

not to bad here, I send my son a letter every other day and they seem to get to him pretty fast, they don't like it if there is any thing odd on the envelopes, it rained one day on the way to the mail box and a rain drop got on the envelope and they returned it. But over all no problems, he can get pictures up to 100, and all the letters I can write.
