View Full Version : Cell Phone Question moetbj 09-18-2006, 01:50 PM Is it against BOP rules to forward your calls? I just want to make sure before I do it - MzNave01 09-18-2006, 01:54 PM I'm not sure if they allow will the call to be forward it may or may not work but if you want them to call another number they call your cell direct. your number just has to be on there phone list Zelda50 09-20-2006, 12:42 AM Yes, forwarding calls is against BOP rules. moetbj 09-20-2006, 09:59 AM Thanks Zelda! I just wanted to be sure, would hate for him to lose any phone privledges! moetbj 09-20-2006, 06:17 PM So really another question, what if both numbers are approved? Say an inmate has your house and your cell number on his phone list and you forward all of your house phone calls to your cell for whatever reason and he calls the house and it rings to your cell...is that against the rules? Maybe i should have been more clear....i do that from time to time and just wasn't sure if i should just in case....thanks! Call forwarding, 3-Way Calling,..etc all are against the rules. I do not believe you will have your number banned if you unintentionally do any of these, but the call will be terminated. I remember early during my wife's vacation we were talking when her sister called and showed up on my Caller ID. I tougt it would be great to 3-way. no sooner did we all get on line than the call was terminated. Funny thing was no one said anything to my wife and non of our numbers were banned... they simple ended the call. This is when I found out this was not allowed. Oh well, live and learn. At least we didn't cause any trouble through our ignorance. Keep the Faith Michael moetbj 09-24-2006, 08:53 PM Thanks Michael, I will take care not to forward the phone! you are the best! |
