 I'm really new at this website. I stumbled on to it one day when I googled for Fort Sill. Because of that I kind of came in the "back door" so-to-speak.

I don't know how to do private messages or e-mail anyone. If someone could give me a little help on "how to", I would appreciate it.

Also, is there a way to "save" the military forum - so I don't have to go looking for it all the time? I'd really rather log in and go straight to the military forum.

I have some questions about Ft. Sill. I have a son who I believe was just transferred there. I got a "missed" call on my cell phone with the area code of "580" and when I did a reverse phone look-up, I found out that it was a land-line from Lawton, Oklahoma - which I believe is the Fort Sills area.

In reading some of the postings in the military forum, I found the information given by "masNKrys" regarding visitation hours, calls, etc. But that's all I know.

If there is someone who knows more information about what to expect - I'd appreciate it. It would really be great if anyone who's actually been an inmate there could give some suggestions on what to expect, what to do, not to do, etc.

I did read something that kind of alarmed me - can't remember what Forum I was in, but the posting said something about "they'll be out in a few months or a few years (remember it's a military prison)". My son was given 6 months, which he's already served some time in a County Jail, so they told him that with good behavior he should only have 79 more days.

After reading that posting, I don't know whether we can trust that or not?

:(

My husband is at the FORT SILL RCF, so anything you need to know ask away!

Visitation:

Saturday & Sunday: 0845 to 1045 hours & 1245 to 1545 hours

Wed. Night: 1800 to 2000 hours

Friday Night special visitation can be arranged for out of town vistors; inmate has to put in a 510 to request this at least a week in advance

Number to POST 1 : 580-442-4110

Any question you have ask for the CSB, preferably SGT BATEY.

You can send money orders for their phone account; money orders only.

You can send letters, cards, photos and stamps ( 20 a month).

Anything else you need to know please ask. I am glad to help!!!

Thanks for the info. I had already talked with a lady at the facility. And, she gave me the same information.

What does CSB stand for?

I sent a money order already so he can call us.

hi FaithAlone,

first of all, you've come to the right place. i don't know much about ft sill, but you already have some support there and people willing to help you. :)

my heart skipped when you quoted me -- yes, it was me... i said that about a few months or a few years because my boyfriend's sentence is 15 years. he just went up for parole and was denied. before the denial, the time i could expect that he would remain in before his release (on parole or otherwise) was anywhere from a few months to sometime in 2010. the military keeps you guessing because there's a chance for parole and/or clemency every year once they reach their parole eligibility date. don't worry about your son. his sentence is short and he won't be there longer than the 6 months to which he was sentenced. sorry to alarm you!!!

God bless and here's to a speedy homecoming for your son!

 k

skm7776:

Thanks for letting me know the explanation behind the quote.

My trust is in the Lord - always! Without Him I do not know how I would have made it this far. He does not always calm the storm, but His promise to be with us in the storm is trustworthy.

Thanks again!

Can anyone tell me how I can get in contact with my husband and my friend who is at the RCF in Fort Sill. I pretty much know his first and last name only and would love to write him.
