Hello. Does anyone know the visitation procedures for these facilities? At Mecklenberg they just pat you down and that's it. Is it the same? Also how are the inmates treated? Is it really bad? The only info I can find is really bad. If anyone could post any info up here I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

It's been a while since my fiance has been in Wallens Ridge, we had no contact visits then, but I think they allow contact visits there now. At Sussex 2, it is a basic search, they pat you down, you go through metal detectors, I've had to shake my bra out on several occasions. I've been through 2 drug searches with the dogs, well they do it in groups. As far as treatment, my man doesn't complain much, but says sussex 2 doesn't go by the book as far as procedure goes, that Wallens Ridge does. I haven't heard him complain about being treated badly or anything. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions. I do think things are a little better since they have a new warden. He was in Sussex 1 also. When I visited there, the visitation procedure was about the same as 2.
