HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE AN INMATE TO CALL HOME WHEN HE GETS TRANSFERED??? HE JUST GOT MAINLINED IN FOLSOM.

It takes at least a week, sometimes two. It took my husband 9 days I think at Old folsom. They have to go thru commitee before they get yard time, which is where the phones are. They have committee on Wednesdays and Thursdays I think so you may hear from him soon. When did he get there?

I Called And Some Very Nice Lady Told Me That He Got There On Saturday And Gave My An Address. So, Would You Know If Can Write Before He Sees The Commitee?? Way The Way Thanks For All The Help!!!! I Don't What I Would Do Without Your Insight.thanx!!!!

If he got there on Saturday I would be surprised if he went to comittee this week. But you never know. But yeah, you can write-I did, but only postcards because they get thru faster and he got them before he went to comitee.

You will know he went to comittee even if he doesnt call you right away because he will have a counselor. So call tomorrow and Friday to see if he has a counselor and if he doesnt have one by Friday, you will probably have to wait until next Wednesday or Thursday to talk to him, but definitely write to him. He will get postcards within a few days and he will probably be grateful because my husb said he was 24/7 in a two man cell until he went to comittee.

I Followed Your Advice And Now I'm A Little Confused. They Gave Me A New Location But It's Still In Folsom. He Does Have A Counselor, But I Thought That He Was Going To Fttf... He Still Hasn't Call Or Anything. Is It Possible That He's In Some Kind Of Recepition(processing) In Folsom???

Did you call his counselor? They can tell you everything. MY husband went to committee and didnt transfer to the FTTF til a few days later but his counselor told me that. He may be able to call you tomorrow. I think yard time is in the mornings sometime. Are you sure you can recieve calls fromthe prison? CAll MCI to check that your line isnt blocked. But call his counselor. They can tell u whatever you need to know.

Who is his counselor? Do you know their name because if he has the same counselor as my husb., (Mrs. Harris) he is going to the FTTF for sure.

A bit off topic....but what the heck are they doing sending mainliners to Old Folsom when they are fixing to send SNYers there anytime within the month. This makes no sense and seems like a lot of wasted money. It's been said and confirmed that Old Folsom will become an ALL SNY. I just don't get CDC at times....most of the time.

I would be really surprised if he didnt go to FTTF considering he was in the SAP at NKSP.

But I am pretty sure they are also keeping the Camp at Old Folsom general population so I guess there is a tiny chance he is going there. What level is he or how many points does he have? The camp is level 1 only. Even if he doesnt go to the FTTF, maybe he can put in a request to go there. Im sure you will know by tomorrow or Monday because he will probably call you.

Did you call MCI to make sure you can get collect calls from a CDC?

ooh, thats good then because he cant go to the camp so he must be going to the FTTF. Yeah, there are lots of level 2's at the FTTF.

I wouldnt worry. I bet you hear from him tomorrow or you can always call his counselor a bunch. I know its obnoxious but one time I was really worried about my husb and I called his counselor like 4 times in one day.

I dont think the counselor will be there this weekend but maybe he is out of town or off on Thursdays and Fridays. Good luck-let me know when he calls. What I used to do when I was worried was just start calling over the prison to see if anyone knew what was up. Visiting ended up telling me a lot about my husband. Call and ask if he can get visitors yet and maybe they will tell you more info as well.

But I Have Been Calling The Prison Like Everyday And They Actually Said That They Transfered Him To Fttf, Already!!! The Thing Is That The Address Looks The Same. The letters are probaby older because he would have had to see the comittee to get transferred I think.
