My man has like $400.00 worth of surcharges, so whenever I try to send him money to the commisary, they just deduct it from the amount of the surcharges. How do they accumulate surcharges and when its time for him to be released can he get paroled with those charges still there? Will they let him pay it once he comes home?

The state takes (for surcharge) 50% of any money coming from the outside. So if you send him 40.00 the state takes 20 and gives him 20.

The state also takes a % of the money he earns. I think 15% but not sure.

It will not effect the outcome of parole if it is not paid by that time.
