It has now been 2 weeks since I got a letter. I noticed at other prisons that some are having problems getting mail to and from their loved ones. Is anyone else having problems getting mail? The last letter I sent him, he received about 12 days later. Why are they holding the mail? Are they that short-staffed? I'm getting impatient. I need those letters as bad as he needs to get mine.!

From my past experiences, the reason for slow mail has been because the mailroom is short staffed. My loved one is at the California Correctional Center which is only about 2 hours away from me and it takes 5 days for me to receive a letter from him. It takes him between 5-10 days to receive mine. I know it's frustrating and the only way to handle this is patience. Hope you hear from him soon!

I get mail on a regular basis from Calipatria. I recieved some mail in two days. The mail going in is always slow because of the Inspections. That could take up to two weeks....
