One ring per hand, 1 pr of earrings. It also depends on the CO there is one there and i do not remember her name that will watch everything you do. Mail last I knew of was 3-4 weeks behind. If you have an appointment you do not need to line up in line. When you get there you will see a long line of cars, drive directly to the front. When you get to the front you will see a lane that will have 0-2 cars in it. Stop and wait for the co to call you. Have your trunk open and your id ready. Tell him your there for an appointment. He will then give you the pass. Fill it out. Go straight and park in the parking lot. There will be another group of people sitting and waiting. Go up to the co and tell him your there for an appt. YOU DO NOT TURN your pass over to the co at this point like everyone else does. You need it for when you go inside. Walk down the really long sidewalk between the fences and then go into visiting and give them ur pass but when u hand them it tell them your also there for an appt. If you appt is at 11 am you do not need to be there till about 9:30-9:45. Hope all this helps.

is it easy to just cut through and head over to the line with 0-2 cars in it?? I thought you had to make line outside even if it was by appointment..

Not if you have an appointment. When you pull up you will see the long line that wraps down the side of the prison. Drive to the front and there is a nother that will not have cars it. If you have an appointment that is the line you get in. When you pulll up to the front everyone will know you have an appt. DO NOT be on the prison grounds no more than 1 hour and 15 minutes before your appointment.

Wow, that's a long time. Guess I should mail his bday card soon then, his bday is Nov. 28th.

One more thing, does anyone in the prison let them know when they receive money? I sent him some money through Jpay but not sure he knows about it.

I have sent money by JPAY a few times and the only reason he knew he had money was because I told him in a letter. I saw him this last past weekend and he let me know they do not notify them when the money gets to there acct. I have saved all my confirmation slips just in case. I have to look more into it cause I do not feel comfortable. Does any one know how we (him) can check his acct to verify funds? Is that possiable. I can then go back and check to see if all funds were paid to him.

Thanks everyone, I will write him a letter which he doesn't get till 2-4 weeks from now. Its too bad there isn't a better system to notify them they have money so they can purchase things to make their stay there a little more comfortable. Thanks again for the help.

I was able to take my break at work at 8:30am and they finally answered at 8:45am, but by then all slots were taken :(
Maybe I'll get lucky next Friday!
BTW, thanks for the ext. number, maybe that's why it took a while?

JPAY keeps track of your transactions and the prison has an accounting department that you can contact when your prompted select Inmate Services then select records then ask to be transferred to accounting. Also JPAY should have an ACH tracking number they can use to research in case the prison tries to say the money never reached them.

Hope this helps!

Does this apply to reception visiting?

I would wear very little as possible. i have seen them make people take the jewelry to the car and not let them in. yes, this applies to reception even when your behind the glass.

I think the ext # was 5601.. but I wrote it somewhere and lost it... It seems like I won't be going afterall, my hunny just got transferred to a CCF. I guess that's good???

Lulicity,
How long was he at Lancaster before he was sent to CCF? was he in reception at lancaster?

Lulicity

He was there in reception for 7 months, but I think it had to do with the fact that they changed his CDC # a month after he got there, so it delayed everything. I'm assuming they stay for reception 6 months at the most. I am so glad he went to a CCF though, and I heard that once I go visit, with no car line, and I sign in and everything, I can see him within 15 minutes and have almost all day to visit!
