Any news yet about the Donovan inmate death on the weekend? Is Donovan still on lockdown?

I picked up the San Diego Reader today and you will never guess what I found in the back pages..... An article on The Inmate's Death at Donovan. It doesn't provide much more information then we already had, but it was interesting. It is towards the Classified Section, page 207 under It's a Crime. Apparently the Sheriff's Homicide Detail is investigating it because it appears to be of a "suspicious nature".....Just thought I would let you know....

Isn't that interesting? If there is nothing to cover-up why are most inmate deaths such a big secret? Especially the ones at Donovan? Just rhetorical questions, of course. I knew it was suspicious since it was kept out of the media as usual.

I got no response from KUSI when I emailed about the story. We know they aired it at least twice, maybe three times in 24-hours. Not that I expected a reply. And of course Donovan, by phone, gave the standard non-reply about there not being a death and there had been no lockdown(s) in recent weeks.

That is great that you found it in the Reader of all places. Thank you for posting. I'll pick up a copy if I can't find it in the online edition. Thanks too for the exact location inside the Reader's ten pounds of pages. At least it has been documented in black and white even if there isn't much more information that we already have. Thanks again.
