Hello to all of you on PTO.....Just wanted to share my hubbys success...!! I am so VERY proud of him...!!! He was released to come to Va. from Ohio where I had moved while he was incarcerated so that upon his release we could start a new life together away from the environment that landed im in prison to begin with....

He came home and relaxed for just a couple of days, then started getting his life in order...to begin with, he obtained his Va, driving permit, in which he had to take the complete exam, because it had been a few year since he had a license.

Once he obtained his license, he landed a job with a construction firm in the area. HE worked this for a couple of months and was laid off. SInce he wasnt there long enough to draw unemployment, he got a job with a moving lines until the construction job picked back up.

He has been full time with the construction job for months, now. HE has been able to complete the classes his po has instructed him to do. He is now getting ready to visit his po evyry other month instead of monthly. Hes bought things for the kome that we have needed for sometime and he took us on our first vacation.

J is determined not to go back in behind the razor wire and does everything he is supposed to do to stay out. I thank GOd for this man in my life, every day, he is my hero...!!! Its taken a lot of planning, and nip and tucking here and ther but we are making it work, and we are not only husband and wife but best friends as well. We will be attending our daughters weding in a few weeks, and after that we are saving to buy a piece of land in which to build the house of our dreams on. Life is what ou make of it, and we are making it the best that we can...We hope the best for all of you....!!1 Good luck.... :D

Good for you both. Makes life worth living huh. I was thinking of selling the house and moving away from the environment that sent my boyfriend to jail also. He hangs with people he has known since grade school. You can't go anywhere without him running into somebody who is his "good friend". All of them are into things that he should stay away from starting with alchohol.

Hope is goes as well for me when my guy comes home. It's scary for me wondering what I am waiting for and what it will be like when he finally gets out.

Firefly I understand how you feel I feel the same way. My boyfriend knows alot of people inside and out, so its going to be really hard to keep him away from his "friends", but I want to move also when he comes home. He wants to move, so we will see when he finally is able to come home.

firefly-it is scary to wonder and wait, I know...but, it will be worth it.....moving for us was the best thing that could have ever happened. It was a hard thing to do to uproot myslef from southern ohio, my lifelong home. But having J here and him doing evrything he is supposed to be doiong and more to stay out from behind those walls, and keep our marriage a great one, is the best pay off I could have ever asked for. Good luck and if you have any questions as to how we did it, etc. feel free to pm me.
