Ok, my guy is in MCCF, and I've heard how that is one of the worst prisons. Does anyone know how bad it is. He just got transferred back there for some reason. He had transferred out of it once, and he's hating that he's back there. He was supposed to be coming to a prison in Lucedale, MS, but they jipped him. I was just wondering if anyone knew how MCCF is because I worry about him.

I have known a few people that were in MCCF. From my understanding, it is one of the better facilities as far as food, health care and living conditions go. I have also heard that there is more violence there. I hear the good more than the bad . I am a couple of counties away from Marshall and anyone from here who has family in prison wants their loved ones to be there.

I was always told that Parchman was the worst in the state. I really believe that as far as living conditions are concerned. It is old. The food is bad and to my knowledge, none of the buildings have A/C.

MCCF probably isn't a walk in the park or anything, but at least he has A/C and decent food.

Hello my name is mickeal and i served three years at MCCF. it was about the best time that i did as far as doing time goes. so a word from the wise " If he has not messed over someone he should stay there". They have great programs and alot sports to get involved in. :) and by the way it does not have A\C but maybe two prisons in mississippi do.

I have correspondence with men at MCCF through Mississippi CURE Inc. and have visited there. Those who I know that are there want to stay there. Some should be eligible for "A" custody and opt to keep their "B" custody because if they get A custody they would be sent to Parchman. I am hearing better things about the prison in Meridian MS now more than MCCF but MCCF so far has been the best reported as the place to be if you have to be in one in MS.
