So, Aaron called me lastnight(yay!! :thumbsup: ) with some good news. he's being moved to Joyceville sometime before Friday this week so he's quite happy to be getting out of KP finally. also, the board moved their decision time up 30days so now we only have until oct. 22nd to hear back whether they're detaining him, putting him in the halfway house here, going to guelph for 4-6months to a drug program, or being paroled to his father's. the worst case scenario would them detaining him, but even if that happens he still only has 13months until they have to release him anyways. well, thats my update for now.. ill keep everyone informed on how things go once the decision is here.

thanks dana and welcome to PTO by the way! ive got some news on the detention hearing. he was denied again but hes only got between 10 and 13months left to go now. his lawyer called me last week to write a letter of support which i did of course, and stated that he will be living with me upon his release(yay!!!) etc. and apparently the main reason he was denied at the halfway house here and the drug program was because the board thinks i live in SUDBURY!! i dont know how the world they thought that, so i set them straight with all that and now when his yearly review comes around again they will most likely parole him to me. anyways just wanted to share my news with everyone :)

Honestly- isn't that really 'annoying' to say the very least?? Why wouldn't they have made sure of the facts - sounds so sloppy:mad: . But as you said it's almost over with anyway so that's good news!

I'm glad to hear someone is getting good news. My brother is in KP and would love to be somewhere else. He is an awesome artist and they will not allow him to have any paper or art pencils at all. He has been in for over 15 years now and they are making him do his full sentence so he has till Nov 2009 yet to go....god forbid the new law passes, I refuse to even think of that tho. Humm I wonder if your guy knows my brother. Weird to think how we are talking on here and they are both there aye!
