Hello everyone. I am going through a storm at the moment. My fiance has been sentenced to 42 years for first degree battery and first degree terrorist threatening. I am depressed:cry: right now because I love him with all my heart and we have 2 small children ( a 9 month old and a 3 year old) Not only is it going to be hard on me and him, but it is going to be even harder on our kids. He is on the pulaski county waiting list. He already has a profile on ADC and they are saying that he has to serve 19 years before he goes up for parole, seeing that he is a habitual offender. I just don't know what to do or who to turn to because my family doesn't agree with me sticking by his side threw this, but I don't care what they think:blah: . We are planning to get married when he goes to the parent prison, but I need to know how much do I have to pay for it? If anyone can help me, it will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance:) !

I don't know personally, but have heard, that you will have to pay for him to be taken to the local courthouse to sign the papers,by the mile and a set amount, but like I said I don't know this for sure.I bet there is someone on here who has been thru this and can give you a answer that is a know fact. I don't think you have to pay the Chaplain to perform the ceromony. But you will have to have it all approved by the warden and I think you have to met with the Chaplain in advance for counseling, and have a 90 days waiting period.I Think:) Good Luck, and sorry to hear you are going thru such a difficult time.Kitty

Hello... I married my husband in April while he is serving his sentence. I donated $50 to the chaplain. We had to go to counseling and wait 90 days before we could get married. I had to pay for the marriage license at the courthouse. The chaplain and my husband met me there to do that. We were married in the chapel with our families present. It was beautiful even if the location wasn't the on we would have chosen if the situation was different. Good luck!
