I was just wondering if anyone has gotten married at KVSP? I already know how to get the marriage packet and all of that but I want to know has anyone actually done it and do you know when they do it? Like every quarter or every month or what? And do they do it during regular visiting or on a different day? Any details would be helpful. Thanks.

when i got married in Delano it was the third friday of the month. This was back in 98. I am not sure if they still do it that way. it was done through normal visiting hours. If he is a close custody he will have to return to his cell beofre 6 pm. I believe they did them once a month but when we had gotten married it had been like 7 months since they had someoen there doing weddings.

I got the marriage packet and sent it back and am waiting response in the packet it states they do it during visit in the visitation area and that CDC chooses the date to do it. I already got mine and sent it back and I am hearing dates are around December so I don't know that is accurated but that is what I been told.

I received my married packet and sent it back, I'm just waiting for a date at the moment, it is done during visiting.

Thanks everyone for answering, so I guess I just have to wait until he gets the packet. He put in a request to the law library for one a while ago but we are just waiting til he hears something. Hopefully I get it in time to do it in December.
