:help:***If you order CD's from Barnes and Noble or Amazon.com they MAY count as a quarterly package. Please call the R&R department before doing so. (see below for R&R contact information)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
:) Quarterly Packages:
The California Inmate Quarterly Package system allows you to send much-desired items to your incarcerated loved one. Each institution sets it’s own rules as to what items are allowed and prohibited and items vary by privilege groups. As a result, vendors therefore provide services to a limited amount of Facilities, Camps, CCF’s or the LA County Jail System. All Quarterly Packages are limited to a maximum weight of 30 Lbs. Nor can they exceed dimensions of 24” x 24” x 24”. All vendors list those institutions for which they provide goods and services and what privilege groups.
:) Special Packages:
Special Packages allow for the purchase of Electronics, Accessories, Musical Instruments, Under Garments and Clothing, Correspondence Courses, Legal Material and Faith Based Items. That would otherwise crowd a quarterly package beyond its allowed weight or dimensions. There is no limit to the amount of special packages allowed in a calendar year.
:help:***For more information on quarterly packages and special purchases, you can contact the Receiving and Releasing Department at CMF. Just call the main telephone number and press option "8" for Inmate Services. Then press option "1" to be transferred to the R&R Department.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

2nd Quarter = April 1st - June 30th
3rd Quarter = July 1st - September 30th

:help: If you have questions about items not listed here, please call CMF at (707) 448-6841, extension 2416 (the mailroom) to have your questions answered. :help:
William'sBaby 09-08-2006, 10:56 PM Before you can visit an inmate, you will need to be approved. Your inmate must send you a visiting form (CDC 106). This form MUST be signed by your inmate before he sends it you you. Once you receive your visiting questionnaire, fill it out TRUTHFULLY and don't leave any questions blank. Then, once you are finished, send your completed questionnaire to:
Attn: Visiting Sergeant
CMF
P.O. Box 2000
Vacaville, CA 95696-2000
The average wait for a response is 4-8 weeks, from the time your application is received by the visiting staff. In some cases, it takes longer than 8 weeks. I suggest calling the visiting department if your wait is longer than 8 weeks, and find out if your application has been received. They will NOT tell you if you have been approved or disapproved over the phone. It is the responsibility of the inmate to relay that information to you. If you are APPROVED, the inmate will be notified. If you are DISAPPROVED, the inmate will be notified AND you will be mailed a written response with details of the denial.
Reasons for DISAPPROVAL include (but are not limited to):
:( Lying on your application
:( Being a Convicted Felon (you must have prior written approval from the warden before stepping on prison grounds)
:( Leaving Questions Blank
:( Having UNPAID tickets (of ANY kind)
:( Having Outstanding Warrants
:( Being on Active Parole/Probation (you will need prior approval from the Warden)
************************************************** *****************************************
You’re Approved!! It’s time to visit your inmate. Here’s what you need to know:
:) Visiting is on Saturday and Sunday, from 8am to 3:30PM
:) Processing ends at 2:30PM. Visitors will not be let inside after this time.
***Exceptions will be related to those inmates housed in Hospice under serious and/or critical condition. Visiting is extended to include additional days or hours to facilitate the needs of the inmate with those wanting to visit.
The value of visiting as a means to establish and maintain meaningful family and community relationships is recognized and encouraged. Each visitor is responsible for his/her conduct during visits. Emergency notifications of the visiting schedule, information and directions can be obtained by calling 1-800-374-VISI (8474), or (707) 448-6841, ext. 2208/2271.

:help: PLEASE CALL THE VISITING HOTLINE (800) 374-8474 PRIOR TO VISITING, TO CHECK FOR UPDATES AND LOCKDOWN STATUS. :help:
