Hi everyone,
Just found out today that Felix has beeen designated to FCI Jessup, which is great because it is only about 2 hours from home. HE will be leaving on the bus June 25. I was wondering where I could find information about this facility????
Thanks in advance.

Hey, that's where Craig is! I travelled from Australia to see him there. Craig says it's not too bad and everybody just wants peace and quiet. The visiting room is alright and you can visit from 8am till 3pm which is great. And he says most of the guards are alright to. From some of the horror stories I've read on here, he could do a lot worse.

Thanks for your response. Felix is still in transit right now but should be getting to Jesup this week I hope. I really hope Jesup is as nice as I have heard. Are you coming back to visit anytime soon? Thanks again.

Oh, I rally do hope so. One thing I do know about Jesup is that they have air conditioning, which is a blessing. Because it sure does get HOT there! I didn't believe Craig when he told me that, but I got a letter from him today and he said "Course we got air conditioning! This is the Feds, the Big Boys!" So I guess there's something to be said for being in Fed rather than State. I hope things go well for Felix in there. Didn't you say that he hadn't been very well? How's he feeling now?

Hi and thanks for the info. No, Felix has not been feeling well and unfortunately they have not done too much to help him. We are hoping once he gets to Jesup things will get better. I am just so tired of the moving and the unknown. It is very difficult for both of us. Do you know anything about the educational programs availible at Jesup? We are hoping he can go to school later on. Thanks and talk to you soon. Maybe you'll be here for a visit soon and of course you will have a home.I will be there for you anythime.

I don't know much about the Educational programs, but I've got a feeling they are Federally funded and the grants have been slashed to almost nothing, so it may not be good news. Thanks so much for the kind words, you know I saw a lot of the U.S. but hands down, Georgia was my favorite. The friendliest people I've ever met. And the state is the most beautiful.

Yes Georgia is very beautiful. But it has it's problems. AS all places do. I hope some of the educational pograms are availible but I know it is probably very limited. I hope he will be getting there this week but I am not sure. He heard two buses are leaving Friday for Jesup but we are not sure he will be on it. I pray he will be. I just want things to get into a routine. It's so much confusion right now. And with his health and all it is much worse. But we are hanging in there.
