I just spoke with my man and they are on lock down. He mentioned that they have not been outside in a few days also. I will not speak with him again until Wednesday, so I really don't have much information. I am hoping that one of the SO CAL girls will be able to find out more.

I was at Donavon yesterday. Some thing happened in yard 4. They canceled visits in yard 2 and 4 and all non contact visits. I was lucky my son is in yard 3 so i was able to visit.

Does anyone know what exactly happened? My hubby is in Facility 4 and I'm worried....I was also there yesterday but I wasn't able to get any information as to what happened. If anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate it.

Okay Well I Dont Know If This Helps But The Last Letter I Received Dated 8/25/06 Friday... From My Man In Yard 2 Said There Was Drama On The Yard A Stabbing.... I Know He Said That TheY Werent Going To Have Yard Time For Several Days... :blah:

I visited on Saturday and everything was fine, but something else must have happened for visits to be canceled on Sunday. :confused:

It appears that Donovan is still locked down as I did not get my Wednesday phone call and I have not received any mail since last week.

I have been getting regular mail since Tuesday so I guess reception is not on lockdown, I will be going tomorrow and see how it goes and find out what happened...

DemonsLady, I posted in California News & Events that I heard news story last night about inmate death at Donovan. I caught the end of it so I'm not sure of the day it happened. I thought it was Saturday or Friday (inmate found about 2am, I believe, whichever day it was.) Can't find anything anywhere. (Did you see it on KUSI?)

LinCal, I saw it on KUSI this morning, but I haven't seen anything else, did anyone figure out what happened? My fiancee is at Donovan and the last letter I got from him was dated 8/31.....

That's where I saw it too, DemonsLady, on KUSI. So I think that is the only station that reported it. I've been trying to catch news broadcasts of the other stations but of course there is no mention of Donovan.

Every other story KUSI is running this weekend is listed on their website; but not the Donovan story. That tells me that, oops, they ran the story then were made to drop it. I give KUSI credit for running it on at least two broadcasts. The other local stations have never run stories on inmate deaths at Donovan as far as I know. Nor does the San Diego Union Tribune.

We will probably only find out from people on the inside. I hope everyone else's and my loved one is okay in there.

Okay Now Im Worried... I Watch Kusi Every Morning And Didnt See That... My Boyfriend Is At Donovan And I Havent Heard From Him Since Last Wensday. A Week Ago... Last He Told Me Ther Was A Race Riot But I Havent Heard Anyrhing Since.... I Hope All Our Loved Ones Are Okay... Ill Pray For Them All....

My man told me the same thing about the race riot and I just seen him this Monday and he didn't mention anything about a death, wow! that's scary it must have happened with regular mainlined inmates....Let's keep them in our prayers, we really need to...

I have been able to get mail from my man in Donovan, but he hasnt received any of my letters....is this becouse they are still in lockdown?

Suxan ..... the prior posts are a year old so you can disreguard them. I just received a letter today from my Son. It took about 7 days. Good luck to you.
