I couldn't find this information on the web site.

I sent money to a pen pal in Bryan FPC. Western Union says that the money has been sent to the biller. My pen pal says she has not gotten it. It was sent Quick Collect on August 13th, so plenty of time by anyone's standards.

Is there a way that I can verify that the money was posted to her account? I mean, if I call Bryan, will they give me that information? Could it be that only family are allowed to send money to Bryan inmates? If so, what happens to the money I sent? Is it just gone?

Besides the other concerns, I need to get this off my books. I don't want my bank account suddenly being debited six months down the road if processing is really that slow.

i have never had a bad experience with western union and the people at bryan won't be able to tell you anything. the money gets sent to a central processing center. if it is showing up in your bank account as being debited then you should be able to call western union to make sure it was rec'd - did you keep any of the info when you sent it?

Hi;

Call Bryan 979-823-1879. Talk with Mr. Young or Ms. Masco. Do not say that this call is in reference to an inmate. They will help you. It is possible that the money got posted to the wrong inmates account. That did happen to me once while I was at Bryan.
