Hi I know there are a couple of motel in the area. Blue Ridge Motel 570-465-2675 and Blue Stone Motel 570-488-6301. I has yet to stay overnight so I can't say how they are. Days Inn in Scranton Dunmore runs from $49-$69 plus tax. Days Inn Scranton runs about $69. plus tax. Howard Johnson Inn Scranton runs about $70. plus tax. The motels are close; however the hotels are about 15- 20 minutes away. Hope this helps. Good luck this weekend.:)

cm lady i have been talking with a lady in another forum i post at. i was asking the same questions as you since i plan to visit my husband at canaan.this lady suggested i stay in a town called honesdale which is only a few minutes from the town of waynmart. which has no motels/hotels.she says the fife and drum looks clean on the outside but did not know how it is on the inside.there is also one called the blue something which she said is a dump . not to stay there.doing a internet search on honesdale pa. i found
1.fife and drum.570-253-1393. and 2.park hotel 570-253-0121.3. grandview motel.570-253-4749.according to this lady there are no big chain motels in either waymart or hones dale. however there are many to choose from in scranton about 20 minutes drive from waymart.since i will not be visiting my husband until next march. i have not called any of these to get prices.just looking at the pictures on the honesdale internet site. the fife anddrum looks like the best choice to me.unless very expensive.hope this helps.:)
