Oseyo friends and family,
My husband is Spanish and has blood from three ancient tribes in S. America. The Native blood comes from his mother, by Cherokee tradition that makes him Native. Anyway, I have been studying the history of his people.
I got on the net and found info on these tribes . Though my husband was born in Bolivia, his ancestors came from Chile.
These Natives are being beaten, killed or jailed by some environmental group who represent the gov. there. Their lands and natural resources are being stolen also. They have
no civil rights, not even human rights. We as Natives know the history and pain of being mistreated and forgotten at times as well as forced off our lands. We have seen the creator work on our behalf to restore some things to us and I believe we will see God balance the scales more yet. Can we not pray for these precious people for something or someone to bring hope to them in the midst of their turmoil. I feel so deeply for them as my husband's people and as Native brothers I know their suffering is horendous. The news quoted the gov. group as saying, we are going to rape these
Indians and make them look like salsa we made by stomping them. I could scarcely believe this kind of hatred could still exist, but sadly it does.:fb: the dove

It does. :( How dark some souls when those who live close to the Earth are shining light and they try to put it out. I have this debate periodically with my significant other about what one person among billions can do, when any effort seems quickly lost like a drop of water in a large desert. Prayer is listening too (mostly) so I strongly believe I will hear what to do.

The main problem is that most people aren't even aware that these things still continue. Its like people are desencitized to the situation. Many people even refuse to acknowledge that their are still thriving indigenous communities in Mexico and South America. We are still here and thriving! But still being attacked. Its very, very important to be conscious. Be careful what you buy, what you endorse, what you support financially. Many times we buy a pair of shoes or outfit, even food from the grocery store and don't even stop to think-how was this made/produced, where does this product come from? Indigenous communities are constantly exploited because most people dont' recognize them even existing.

This is so true preciousrain,
I read a lot on the Araucanian Indians and the article said the gov. passes laws that enable them to abuse these people legally. I have been praying that these Indian brothers will not rely so much on their fierce warring skills as getting in touch with their spiritual roots and wings so they can fly above the tactics of the feds. I know they must have it in them, they maybe need to rethink these issues. i wonder if ignorance is a factor but then nothing could show more ignorance and greed than what the feds are doing to them!
i try to get rid of negative feelings towards people who do us wrong, but it is a time of much turmoil and wondering what the future holds for those we will someday leave behind. i do not care so much if people know who I am but when it is all said and done I want to know that I made a difference for our peolpe and all people.
