In 1995 I met the man of my dreams, only at that time I didn't know he was the man of my dreams. We were both envolved with someone else, but very unhappy. We started dating and I got pregnant, I felt that I would do better on my own so I moved back home to Texas. (alone) My daughter was 2 mos. old when I took a trip to Alabama so he could see her, I was told by a friend of mine that he was in prison and was going to be there for a long time. I was upset but went on with my life. I had two other children. (little boys) Their father and I did not work out. The whole time wishing I could be with the man that I once knew, who was locked up in an Alabama State Prison. I didn't know where he was and didn't know how to find out. I looked all over the internet searching, but no luck.
In March of 2002 I came across the Alabama DOC and went under Inmate search, and low and behold there he was. I started crying because after all these years I couldn't believe that I truely found the love of my life, but then I didn't know if that was really him.
So I wrote him a letter and sent a few pictures of our daughter, still hoping it was him. I wasn't really expecting a letter back, and about a week later I recieved a letter in the mail, "it was him". I went to go see him at Elba work release. We had a very nice visit, our daughter got to see him for the first time in her life. (she was 6 yrs old) We rekindled old flames and have been going strong.
In April of 2006 He asked me to marry him. So we are waiting for the papers that we have to fill out and to do our classes with the chaplain, so we can finally became one.
Oh yeah! He also wants to adopt my two boys.
