I'm so friggin' mad. How long does it take to get a "go home" date? It's been 15 days since Wayne's hearing and his paperwork hasn't even begun moving. At this rate he won't be home until Christmas.

i am so sorry to hear that...A friend of a friend of mine waited almost 45 days, after 30 days she called the Lawyer that works for the parole board and he got things moving. I can't remember his name but i bet its on their web site. You would think they would be just a ready to get rid of him as you are to have him home.

Good luck

I don't know if this helps or not , but I do know that before they release the inmates they have blood drawn. At Holman this is usually done on thursday and they are released on Monday morning.

I sent an email last night and got a reply today. They're waiting on paperwork from the county where he was sentenced - a "conviction order" from the court. Since it was 1990 when he was convicted, it's taking a few days to get the paperwork back to the board. They assured me he hasn't been forgotten and they will get his interstate compact moving once they get that piece of paper.

It's still not soon enough for me. :(

Just hang in there!! We got Scott's parole approval on June 12th and it was July 7th!! before they gave us a release date of July 16th and as you recall he still didn't get to come home on that day due to the fact the fancy little parole paper with the gold seal had not yet arrived from Montgomery!!
He was supposed to have been released on a Wed. and they did not even mail the thing until the Monday of the very same week of his release!! Word to the wise!! Stay on top of his paperwork trail!!!
