There is something really bugging me, and I've been embarrassed to ask so I hope someone can answer this. My husband always sends me the updated copies of his visitors list, but he says that they don't give them copies of the list of phone numbers they are approved to call. Does anyone know if that is true or not? He is in the Federal Prison Camp (Florence, Colorado). We have had a pretty honest relationship, so on one hand, I hope I'm just being paranoid, but on the other hand, you know... I wonder. Maybe all the time apart is just playing on my mind. Anyhow, I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering about this. Thanks!

Dee, I honestly don't remember but even if people get them at one facility or even at that one, his counselor might do things differently.

I dont ever remember receiving a phone list just mail from the counselor that the number was approved. (usually about 2 weeks after I had tried the number and the call went through.)

It is true that he does not autmotaically get a list of his approved phone numbers! BUT, he can get a paper copy of one by putting a request in for it. My husband had to come up with a good reason to get his, but he did get one!

As I recall, you are allowed only 20 phone numbers. To add one, you must give another up. It is easy to keep a small pad (FPC Bryan gave out the 5X7 legal pads every month free) and keep all phone numbers on the cardboard back. Then, everyday you can simply record the calls you make and keep tabs on the minutes remaining.

i believe they do it all by computer now..my b/f just updated his ..he told me the other day...deleted alot b/c it only shows the # and NO names....Valerie

I've received copies of my husband's visiting list but never a phone list. So I don't think they automatically get one of the phone numbers. Z.
