My husband just send me the forms for the family vist.. He has put a request to see his counslor.. On the form he left these blink, because he doesn't know what the ERPD/board date, Privilege GRoup, work/program assignment and date of last cdc 115?? It's on the top section of the family vist application.. Maybe i should just call the family visting, but i dont' have the extension # for the family vist for (OLD FOLSOM )... Where would i send the forms to and what kind of payment could i send? money order, checks? thank you....:)

his cci should have filled that all out before. those papers are for your husband not for you those papers need to be sent to the cci worker and then to the family visiting cordinator. from there you should get your date and papers you need to sign and send back but please call his cci worker and find out as soon as possible so your visit can be given to you as soon as available. but do call the councilor or cc1 worker

The counselor does not fill out the family visiting application, the inmate does. The counselor will tell you to send them to the inmate. The inmate gives the completely filled out application to the counselor, who then either approves or denies the family visit. If they are approved, he forwards the aplication to the family visiting coordinator. If they are denied, he gives them back to the inmate stating in writing why they are denied.

Thanks for the response...but maybe why it's so much confusing is because he hasn't spoken to his counslor and he got the appplication through a friend in thea.... so thats probably why he doesn't know, rite?? Would anyone know the family vist extentsion for OLD FOLSOM?? thanks..:)

I guess you are right Elizabeth, because my husband filled out the application and gave it to his counselor. He then sent me the paperwork to fill out for the food and money for the food. All of that then goes to the FV coordinator who approves the visit and sets the date. I had to send in a money order for the food made out to my husband. It goes into his account and they withdraw the money for the food. My husband is at Wasco.

Thanks Summer Any Person Who Has Time In With Cdc Knows That Each Prison Is Different Just Look At Visitng The Rules Change Week By Week It Depends Who You Are Standing In Front Of. I Understand That Jls Has Worked For The Cdc And Is Now Retired But He Should Know That Each Counclor Has His Own Ways Of Doing Things. The Best Thing To Do Is Call The Prison In Question And Talk To Someone There.

The procedures for processing family visits was created by a task force in 2002 that was comprised of eight counselors and managers. I was a member of that task force. There were several procedures that were implemented by the state that were a result of this task force. All counselors and institutions have to follow these specific procedures as they are enforced by a court order. Give me a break , I just retired last month.

I Am Sure That You Know Way More Than I Do.
But As You Know That Each Person Does Things Differently.
I Am Not Trying To Start A Pissing Contest But Each Prison Is Run In Its Own Way.
But As A Wife Of An Inmate I Have Had Family Visits In 3 Different Prisons They Are All Not The Same. Each Cc1 Worker Has Been Different. There Procdures For Doing Things Have Been Different Yes You May Have Been On A Task Force But You Did Not Work At Each Of These Prisons. You May Have Been An Exception To The Rule In Doing Your Job. In My Nine Years Of Dealing With Visiting And Rules And The Title 15. Yes Things Are Not Always Done By The Rules. As You May Well Know That Some People Who Work For The State Have This Feeling That They Are Better And Have The Right To Act And Do There Job As They Well Please. Again I Do Not Wish To Have A Pissing Contest With You As You Have 20 Years And I Only Have Nine. The Only Thing I Want To Make Clear Is That Not All Cdc Employees Do Things The Way You May Have.
Congrats On Your Retirement.
