I am on the PSR report but we are not married, how difficult will it be to go visit? He was just sentenced and does not have a placement yet. I heard that i have to be approved first and fill out paper work. Does any one know how this works?

If you have no felony convictions and are not on any type of misdemenor probation should not be a problem. If you have a felony then the chances are not too good even if you are mentioned in the PSI, of course each case is different and the warden can give permission for a special visit. Just take a deep breath and be patient. The paperwork will arrive after he gets to his destination and takes about 2 weeks or so for approval. Hope this helps.

Oh goodness, i have no legal issues hanging over head. Ok thanks for the info, i'ts been so long since i've touched him that i'm getting so excited, i want to know everything and i want to know what to expect. So that when that time comes i have everything in place. Thanks

When you get the visitor form make certain you leave nothing blank. Then send to his counselor, not to him. Approval should be obtain within a week or two. He will receive notification and then can let you know.

My husband and I have both signed pleas and he has been sentenced and I was wondering can I visit him even though I have a felony as well?

I've known several wives who visited their husbands after their release. Their probation officers had no problem giving them travel permission every week to visit their husbands who were still incarcerated.

Quincygirl, please read a question BEFORE you respond to it. This member has a felony conviction and was asking if she can visit her HUSBAND.
Also, please don't be giving advice about LYING on the visitor form. Go back and read the form (it's on the BOP website). It is a felony to lie on that form and you signed it stating that you understood that.
