Does anyone have a clue as to what brand of deodorant an inmate can receive? My friend's son is Downstate. She has sent him three different kinds of deodorant and he can't have any of them. They say that there is refined alcohol in them. What do they do with all the stuff that you send and the inmate can't use? There is no indication on the items list of what type of deodorent they can have. Anyone's answer is most appreciated!

i just posted about deoorants a few days ago, in the care package thread. BUT the deo i take my man that is allowed and does not have alcohol is the high endurance by old spice. its not expensive and it smells really good. it has to be stick, and have that plastic on the top. do not remove it!! OK
good luck

Another one is Mitchum for men they have many different scents and has the plastic seal at the top. That is the one I normally buy

Oh and normally if they don't except something the inmate has the chose of sending it back or you can pick it up the next time you go to visit. Or if that doesn't happen they will donate it.
