Hi there my man is also in C yard he is also my jr.high school sweat heart. Well it's not a special yard and the visiting is not bad at all but you do need to be there early if you need any more information let me know I'll be more than happy to let you know I know how it feels having the love of your life in there ok.

hello. i am brand new to PTO. & this is my 1st time writing. (ahh!) my boyfriend is at KVSP. he's got 4 yrs. left. i am going 2 visit him for the 1st time on the 2nd weekend of next month. ive never been 2 any prison before, (tho i did go 2 the san diego jail 2 see him once) & im increadibly scarred about the whole process! ive battled with depression all my life (im 29 yrs old), tho im much better now, but i still have a really difficult time doing new things by myself. im so scarred & nervous about the whole process of getting in 2 see him! ive read as much as i could find here on the visiting process, but would like 2 know if anyone has any new updated info.? especially anyone who's visited there recently. What is the safest bet on what time 2 arrive there in the morning? Are you allowed 2 wear high heels? Is it a long walk from the parking lot 2 the visiting area? Are there restrooms in the visiting processing area, or just in the visiting room? Silly quest. but are you allowed 2 have regular ol' chapstick with you? Whats the temp. like in there, is it really hot or is there A/C? Also, ive been trying 2 look up the directions 2 the prison, but the internet maps dont show it, i know how 2 get 2 delano, but once im there whats the basic directions? Can i wear gloves during the process of getting in (nervous picking!) but take them off when i see him? Once im out of my car how long does it usually take 2 go thru everything (not including any wait time for them 2 bring him out)? well, ive written alot already, so i'll just stick with these quest. for now. ANY help with this would be so appreciated beyond words! i know once im with him (in the visiting room) all my fears will melt away, so i've just got 2 make it thru the begining. thanks in advance 2 anyone who'll help! :)

arrive at 700Am.. as you can see we cant park in the road anymore.... and yes is it a long walk from the parking alot to the visiting process... and they have rest rooommms in both area's... its all depends what # you get....for ex: if you get 120 they will call your # the 3rd group.. see they call tht first # 1-50 and 51-100 goes on & ON.... the process is pretty goood... so its all depends what # you get....

thank you sooo much betty booo for your help & quick response! :yay: i will be visiting yard C. im not 2 sure what the different yards mean. will that make much of a difference re: going thru the process 2 visit? what do you usually wear when you go 2 visit? when they say "bring a differn't set of clothes" (if the 1's you have arent approved) does that mean bring them up 2 the visiting process center with you, or are you suposed 2 just keep them in your vehicle? if you keep them in the vehicle & you do need 2 go back 2 change, how does that affect your place in line???:hmm: that one is a really important quest. ive been wondering about for awhile.:confused: Oh, & another big quest., i have a earring that ive never taken off since it was put in, its a sm. "white gold" hoop. will gold set off the metal detectors?

Hi Pony. you best bet as far as clothing brown, black, purple safe colors... no jeans... you have to keep your clothes in your vehicle... friends outside also have clothing just incase you forget... as far as piercings they make you take them off, they made this girl take all of hers off from nose, tounge and lip. Cyard is SNY and everyone gets processed the same. you arrive at 7am get in line get a number go park take your slip to the Co under the tent and wait for them to call your group of numbers they start with 1-50 at 8am then sets of 50 after then.

about the piercing they make you take all off....... i have one in my tongue they dont tell me to take it off .. just the one i have on my upper lip........and like brownqueen said best color to wear black, brown, pick, purple... well i wear alot of things but no jeans.. or color blue, red, green, and orange...

ONE more question, if you will. :help: High heels...are they allowed? if they are allowed, i was thinking of bringing a pair of cheap "flip flops" for the walk 2 the processing ctr., then throwing them away once i get there, & put on my heels. :idea: what are your thoughts on this??? o.k. i promise thats my last quest.! so, any reply on this would be super groovie! :D thanks again for all your help. you guys are live savers!

yeah they allowed high heels... well girl just wear your high heels.. so you wont throwing the flip flops.... you can walk slow.. :rolleyes:

yea you should just wear your heels the walk from the tent to the processing isn't that far but let me tell you Cyard is like that last one on the block so the walk from the processing to the visit room is the big walk. So if you can walk in your high heels about maybe less than a half a mile you should wear them, if not you better wear some walking shoes ;0) nah it's not that far but it is a walk.
