I guess an incident happend last week and that's why there are on total LD until further notice...

LOL Sure cracked me up to read that! HAHA A stabbing in an anger management class...:D:D:D...Okay, I'm done laughing.

Actually there was a HUGE riot on D yard.. Outside on the yard..Thursday morning the 13th. The whites and blacks had just come back up and this was their first time to yard and they jumped right off.

As far as I know there were no serious injuries. Meaning life-threatening. I know that no staff was hurt.

I hope this clears up any uncertainty. Word from staff is this lockdown will now be a long one (I thought the last 2 months were long!!).

D yard at KVSP is ALWAYS on lockdown! My husband spent 3 yrs. there and they were locked down 80% of the time! Always stabbings and riots. I hate to tell you- but that is life at the D yard at KVSP. It's a complete nightmare and you are always worried about the safety of your man.

D yard only opened in January of 2006 (almost 2 years), but it's true that D yard is a very active yard.

The current warden came from SVSP where he slammed yards for 18 months straight, but he did give visits. Problem with D yard is that it's all racial, so they can't allow contact visiting with these 3 races - they can't allow them in the visiting room together, so the most we can hope for is that they will eventually start alternating weekends.

The newest info I have is that first the middle yard jumped (SAP yard) - the Southern Hispanics and the Blacks, then the lower yard jumped (Buildings 1-4) - the Blacks and Whites, so now there are 3 races involved and they will have to do a gang of interviews,searches of both yards, etc.

I'd not expect D yard to come back up again for months, but I still have no idea on visiting. All I'm getting is "NO visits until further notice."

So sorry for those of you with men on D. :(

YES that really happened in August 2006 !!

I don't think it improved much since then.

AllMyAll - that is truly amazing! It DID crack me up when I read your earlier post though (Bad me, but it sounded so funny!). I think that teacher needs to be replaced because someone's anger was obviously not being managed!!

My husband took the Anger Management course at KVSP last year and he said it was a joke. Luckily he wasn't in the class with the attack though!! :D
