Hello, I have a son in prison myself so I have experienced some of the trials that go along with someone in prison. I am not native by birth, well except so far back when Pocahauntos maried John Rolfe. He was my many times great grandfather.
I have been writing to a native man and we have claimed each other as family. He is in my heart my brother. Clouds is a Lakota Souix and Cherokee. He has very little family out there to write to him. I am hoping that someone would write to him. He longs to talk to a man of his heritage. Though I kno he would welcome any letters that were written.
He has told me that my heart is red and that I am now native too. That claiming one as family is very serious with his people. Our people. I am learning from him lessons I have needed to learn and healing inside the one thing I could not do alone. My mate approves strongly of our friendship.
