I CALLED TO GET SOME INFO ON ANT TODAY AND THE CO OVER THE CLASSIFICATION DEPT WAS SO HELPFUL.. HE SAID THAT ANT IS DUE TO BE PROMOTED TO S3 ON THE 28TH OF THIS MONTH WHICH MEANS HE WILL GET AN ADDITIONAL 5 DAYS PER MONTH OFF OF THIS RELEASE DATE. I WAS SO HAPPY TO HEAR THAT.. HE ALSO SAID THAT PAROLE SHOULD BE COMING TO TALK TO HIM SOON.. :) I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT..

in texas there are all kinds of classifications i will share them with you

line class is non trustee level
line 3 worst line class/medium or max security level
line 2 a little better still medium security level
line 1 is min security/eligieble for contact visits

s4 state trustee level one/min security eligible for outside job
s3 state trustee level two/eligible for most outside jobs
s2 state trustee level three very rare to get this high on custody level.. it usually stops at s3 which is really good..

Hey Shortie...how do you know who to talk to in the system? The people at facility where Monty is are very nice, but they really don't get my questions answered...and I have determined that the parole guy was born in the day of the dinosaurs...he has NEVER answered a question for me. Monty sent him and I60 and the response he got back had nothing to do with his question! It is like banging your head on a brick wall! I have questions about classes and trades Monty can learn, the classes he has to take and when he can take them...stuff like that. Does anyone know what department SHOULD be able to help me!!??

hey for the classes talk to the education dept. if they do not have one talk to classification.. i know that they should have some one to contact for the education but you never know. Remember the key is to sound like you know what your talking about but bringing it accross in a nice way.

They want to believe that everyone one is tdcj liliterate. that is way they get away with so much stuff.. Most people do not know the system so they push them around and don't deal with them.. so stay strong and direct.. they will get your point..

this week end I learned that when ant gets his s3 he will be eligible for 4 contact visits a month right now he can only have 2 with no exceptions.. so I am really excited....

That is great news. Billy may be moved to a low in October if his evaluation turns out ok...but it's 3 hours away instead of 15 minutes. :(

that sucks, but I know you can do it ant is 4 hours away right now and I try to go every other weekend and see him for 2 hours... sad i have to drive 8 hours to get a 2 hours visit. But I would do it all over again just to kiss his sweet lips and to get a hug.. I love that man so much it hurts...

I agree Shortie, I would drive that far for him and I'd do it all over again just to feel him, but I'm spoiled on the 15 minute drive...I think everyone would be!!
