</H1>Dept. of Corrections blamed for lax oversight

Wednesday, July 26, 2006 BY DARRYL R. ISHERWOOD

State corrections officials did not provide proper oversight of in mate educational programs run by a private company under a $1.5 million annual contract, a recent audit found.
The contract calls for Life Skills Academy Inc., owned by Trenton activist Emmanuel ben Avraham, to teach an 80-hour training program to about 1,400 inmates in 13 prisons. Its contract with the Department of Corrections is the for- profit company's sole source of revenue, the audit said.

Another waste of taxpayers money at the expense of the inmates and this is an activist who runs this program. What a shame!
