Well some bad news has arrived today in a letter from my husband. He is at Bullock CF in Union Springs, AL. They were informed that beginning on 6 September 2003 that visitation will now be TWICE a month only. Still alternating between Saturday and Sunday. Also, that the hours of visitation will change to 8:00am to 11:00am. That cuts off 2 hours each visit compared to now.
Other changes he noted was that visitors and inmates were no longer permitted to where any jewelry, to include wedding rings. Also, the inmates will have to start wearing jump suits for visitation.
As I stated above, inmates were told that these new regulations on visitation will begin 6 SEPTEMBER 2003. He also stated that this is taking effect at a few of the prisons, but they did not know if it would include all of them. If you travel to this Correctional Facility, you may want to check the new regs. out before driving.

Oh goodness, Pat. They changed the schedule too at Limestone on May 1st to twice monthly instead of every weekend, but they added three hours to make visitation six hours long (it was previously three). The whole reason for cutting visitation from four to two times a week at Limestone was so one group could visit longer each day. I can't believe they did that and took hours AWAY at Bullock. I'm so sorry, Pat, I know that has got to be really frustrating. :(

Yes Lysbeth, this is really frustrating. Visitation is now from 8:00am until 1:00pm. That is until September. Just doesn't make sense to cut the hours and the times per month down, but then not much they do seems to make sense. I guess I'll enjoy the visits this month while they last. Tomorrow is my day to visit and you can bet I'll be there at 8:00am and not leave until 1:00pm so I can get every minute in that I can now.

Well, it's official now. Yesterday at visitation when I was leaving, I was handeda paper with the new visitation rules and schedule on it. Starting the 6th of September, 2003.
I don't know how to scan and put it on here, but if anybody needs to know the schedule, please PM me and I'll be glad to give it to you. I have the schedule and it goes from September through December. Just wanted to let youn's know.
