The institution my boyfriend is currently in is new and they don't have a sweat lodge. He told me the only way for them to get one, is to build it themselves. The hardest part of this seems to be locating the long, skinny trees for the main supports.

Has anybody ever helped inmates build a sweat lodge? He said if I get the materials, then they can arrange for them to be brought in.

Any ideas?

contact your local Native American church and let them take care of it.

Thanks, I had not thought of that. I guess I was not even aware of their being Native American Churches. I know this is something very hard for them to do on there own, so if I can help, I definitely want to.
