Hi everyone.

Anyone have any idea what I can bring to Ulster? My Fiance has been there for 16 days and I am thinking about visisting him next weekend. Can I bring Ciagarettes, sneakers, shorts, sweatpants etc?

Also does anyone know the BEST way to get there (from Rochester) and a decent cheap hotel?

SURe he is still there-they do not stay there very long-in fact 16 days is a long time for Ulster-then read this link

as for hotels-the prison is not far from route 17-map quest the location and directions and then look up places around the exit-I will say it is about maybe 4-5 hours from Rochester-so you might just drive back and forth the same day-ALSO it is very crowded for visiting there on weekends-so get there very early-or do not bother to arrive till Noon when they start terminating visits-during the week I expect you would not have this problem-BRING change-the change machine rarely works.
