Hello! My husband is in Jamestown and I recently sent him his quarterly package. There were some items on the list he sent me that were no longer available on Walkenhorsts website. I know that the items are available on Access's website. Can I order these items as a special package or do I have to wait until the next quarterly package?

If the items are listed under the Special Package section of Access Catalog's website, then you can order them. Unless something has changed, you could send a special package every 30 days.

If the items are on the Quarterly Package list for Access, then you have to wait until Oct 1 for the 4th quarter package.

My guy (also in Jamestown) sent a list from Access and most of what he asked for is sold out. Lesson learned, check for special packages for the extra stuff and order early!

You may want to call and check with Walkenhort's...My past experiences with them is that often times they do have those items, even though you can't find them when placing your order online. If you have the item number they will check for you and may even be able to add it to your order.

I'm not 100% sure about Jamestown but I know at most of the CA prisons now they are having the inmates order the items for special purchase as it requires a signed form from R & R and they then have to pay the CA sales taxes where before if someone sent it from out of state those did not have to be paid.

I HIGHLY recommend calling the prison and asking if special purchases can be sent from home and do they require a signed form.
