My husband just called me and told me about this law ab 3000 here in CA. Another inmate had a print out from PTO that was sent to him by his girlfriend. This inmate was transfered this morning so he couldn't tell me what thread it come from. I have searched this sight but i have no luck. Can anyone help me!! Thanks:rolleyes:

Fee Increase for Violations- AB3000 Budget Bill:

The new law imposes a 20% surcharge on the base fine for Vehicle Code violations-except parking offenses. This is in addition to any penalty assessment charges. For example, if you have a $100.00 fine, you will be charged an additional $20.00 for a total fine of $120.00. However, penalty assessments are 170% of the original fine, so in this case the penalty assessment would be $170.00 (170% of $100), bringing your fine total to $290.00 ($100.00 original fine, $170.00 penalty assessment, and $20.00 surcharge).

oh, what a ding-dong i am! i thought AB3000 addressed early release of inmates? ditto for me: if anyone has new info on early release, specifically, chowchilla, female inmate in substance abuse program, i would be appreciative...oh, i getting silly again.
