Yeah, Char, 5 more days! Lordy, the excitement is too much for sure. If your sweetie has a hankering for any particular flower, obviously, get those. If you don't know since it is out of the norm to give men flowers, red roses would be swell. Just one or maybe three. I think a red rose would be very symbolic of your wedding colors. Don't you?

Hope everyone has a swell weekend. We're having fabulous weather today. It's a real pleasant 72 degrees.

The baby and I went on many adventures this morning. He went to the nail salon with me, to my Dad's where we took his doggie to the groomers, then we went to the eyebrow salon. When we got home, his doggie daddy came out to play and promptly pee peed on him! :eek: Guess he wanted to tell Obe in no uncertain terms he was the daddy! :haha: I've got news for the black litta rat, Obe is his daddy and he better never ever pee pee on my baby again! So then we took a bath and got all spiffed up for company. My brother and niece and nephew are coming by to pay their respects to the new addition. Gonna have to leave him with the baby sitter tonight since I have to leave at 5:45a so I can go visit daddy in the morning. Will be odd not sleeping with the litta monkey since we're already used to sleeping together! :haha:

Hey, kids, hope you're all doing well. Obe told me today that they have now put a two pound limit on candy for the quarterly packages. Appears some of the inmates will make pruno outta anything with sugar. That is very disturbing that they're restricting the candy for sure since Obe has a very large sweet tooth and so looks forward to his sugar high every quarter.

All we can do is keep hoping and praying things will change and that the time for our loved ones to come home gets here as quickly as possible.

Loca - thanx for the excitement level for the Obewan and myself. We are like a couple of kids right now just plain goofy in love! Bianco is no longer an animal but a real human being! :haha: He is the smartest, cutest litta fella in the world. I took him to the babysitter Saturday night because I have to leave so early to go see Obe and when I got home yesterday he kissed me for 10 minutes and then went to sleep in my arms for the rest of the night! I couldn't type my letter so put him to bed, but he came running back in here and finally crashed on my feet like he likes to do. This morning he's running around playing with his toys. Wouldn't you know it, his new love is an empty soda can! :haha:

Normal visiting hours -- 8:30a - 3:00p except they will stop them tomorrow as they always do on a holiday at 2:45p.

This is my first 4th of July and thank God my last! Lov said it didn't get very packed last year, but she comes too far to be terminated. Chances are we'll get all day or a good portion of the day. I will be there for sure!

Hello lovely ladies....I just got back from Sedona, Az last night. My aunt and uncle had their 10 year wedding anniversary...It was a fun weekend, a huge party with relatives from all ends of the country! Last week, my cousin and her friend were visitng from Ma...I was busy running them all around playing tour guide and showing them all the hot spots in San Diego!
Other than that, things have been okay. I have been missing my husband more than usual! Maybe because this month on the 22nd makes 1 year since he has been in, and 1 year since we got married! (we got married the morning of his sentence) I was going to try to make it up there for another family visit this month. His birthday is on the 17th, and our anniversary is on the 22nd. But I decided to wait until August for our next family visit, so that I could order him a nice big package for his birthday!
It's really hard knowing that we could have a family visit, but can't work it into the budget!!:confused: A part of me wants to put it on the credit card, and worry about paying for it later!!!
Okay, enough complaining from me!
Char- I am so excited for you! I would be going crazy if my husband was only days away from coming home!

I have a question, Which yards at MC are for level 4 inmates?

Well, I know A Yard is a level 4. Obviously, minimum isn't. As far as B and C, maybe one of the other gals can let you know that.

im not sure what c yard is but b yard is level 7

I hate to break it to you, but there is no such thing as level 7. If I had to guess, B Yard is Level II and C Yard is Level III. I am not positive on the B and C Yards, however.

regarding the inmates personal clothing went into affect in all prisons but
if that's the case then why do the vendors continue to sell them in their
packages? Also the other night my husband was saying that the Lt. made an announcement that he wasn't going to do a sweep and take away all
their property since it was still being sold...he said he was going to
do it on a case to case basis but he said that the cop in his building took
it upon herself to sweep his building...how do they do that if every
other building isn't being affected?
Is there anyone here that knows the answer to my question?

:wave: Hey smal, I had that question last month too coz I was gonna send my husband some clothing and did not wanna send it and have it taken away from him.

I will tell you what my husband told me since we had a conversation about this topic this weekend. He said they will take the levi's away (which we all knew already and it has not been sold in the package in a long, long time). But he said that they change their mind and will not take the shorts, socks, briefs away and the inmates can still receive it in the package. I did send the 2 shorts last month and that will not be taken away. He did have to trade his 2 old shorts for the 2 new one. As far as socks, it is sold in the package and my man wanted new ones and told me that he was told it will not be taken from him.
I will ask him again in my letter (and tell him i forgot to order the socks:slap: because I forgot to write it down on the list). I will ask him if it is actually in writing what he was told (the same like your husband was told).

I think the candy already had to be sugar free…or at least for the hard candy it did. Maybe some dummy was making pruno out of the sugar from gummy candy or chocolate…yuck! So I think that’s why they have put a weight limit on the candy or they are thinking about doing this. My fiancé mentioned it this weekend, but off hand I can’t completely remember what he said.

Lov – It’s okay that you didn’t know it had been talked about. Thanks for always giving out information. I’ll ask my fiancé more details tonight about the clothing issue, and get back to you. I know they said they were taking some things away and then decided to give them back, but I’ll have him tell me the exacts. I know the vendors stopped selling certain items they couldn’t have and then started selling some of them again…so yes, it’s been confusing the last quarter or two. Lov & Liz & Everyone else ~ I spoke with my fiancé just now and he said that the only personal clothing item that they are taking away is the jeans. The other items they are now allowing them to keep again. However, there has been some confusion on that, therefore, some of the building CO’s have been taking away items the guys are allowed to have. When I get the memo from my fiancé regarding this, I will try to post it or summarize for this group.

He said that if a CO took away something they shouldn’t have, then the inmate needs to bring the appropriate memo to that CO’s attention and ask for the items back. If that still doesn’t work, then the inmate needs to speak to their building representative/MAC rep. and see if they can help them. While trying to work with the build/MAC rep, he said the inmate can file a 602.

I know it is hard on the inmates and family members to purchase items and then get taken away, because that is such a waste of money for both. The vendors usually are on top of these changes, but if it becomes effective mid-quarter, the vendors may be selling items that are not allowed anymore. I don’t know what else can be done about the vendor end of this.

However, I do believe the staff is trying to make sure everyone is on the same page as far as this. But as we know, there is always a CO or two that follows his/her own rules and not the ones of the prison. I think an inmate can talk to the Lieutenant as well about the CO that is taking away items that should be allowed to stay, but I’m not 100% sure about that procedure.

Small - Thank you! It is hard to understand sometimes if someone is directly talking to you or just sharing. Maybe it's because I know Christina and personality better, that I understood her and knew she didn't mean anything by her story about holding her husband accountable and I knew it wasn’t directed at you. I do step in maybe sooner than others would, but I’m very protective and I don’t like anyone being attacked. So I would personally rather jump in early and try to squash the issue. And I do try hard to keep it professional and fair, but I do realize by not getting personal (in a nice or mean way), I can come off as strong and/or cold. Hope you all had a happy 4th! I had my house phone forwarded to my cell phone. My husband called just as the fireworks started...It was so nice because I got to hear his voice as I watched the fireworks! It was almost like we were watching them together! I described the colors to him, and he could here the big bangs! He said he felt like he was there with me!!!
Holidays are especially difficult for me, I seem to miss him more than at other times! I can't wait until we can celebrate all the holidays together!

Lordy! Three whole days without PTO! Thought I was gonna die! So glad FedEx decided to fix it.

So, looks like everyone is doing fine. Had a swell visit with the Obe on Friday and today. So since last Sunday have seen him 4 times this week! :yay:

Went shopping is a galpal of mine after I left Obe and found a real cute ensemble to wear for the wedding. I'll have to wear a cami or tank top under the blouse, but I'm pretty sure it will be passable for their rules. Now I just have to iron the doggone thing and I will be good to go. Good thing I have new white dressy sandals to wear and will throw on some white nylons and stick a flower in my hair and walk down the isle! Amen - just wanna marry my man! :yes:

We had a heck of a time today for some unknown reason. I had light blue capris on and Brown wanted to know the color and if they were denim. She said real close. They are cotton stretch, but not denim. Then I saw a lady with solid navy blue pants on and another one with a gray skirt and top -- thin knit and very tight who were already in the visting room! So, go figure why I got stopped at the border! Poor Liz had to go change her top because they said they could see her bra. Musta had it out for the good ones today!

Q: We made it through another weekend!!!! One more less to go!!!! She said that she could tell I was wearing a bra, what is that suppose to mean??? I was dressed really cute for my husband, it was actually an outfit I had worn to see him at Pelican Bay and they are really really strict there. So I couldn't believe the girl was sweating me. =o( One of the officers rolled his eyes, he couldn't believe it. I just looked too cute. lol You have to laugh or else they make you feel like your going crazy.

I am hoping for a visit the last weekend in July. I should find out this week. The mommas is getting bigger ever minute it seems. She is not walking YET but she is crawling and getting into eveything. Her favorite thing is to open the cabinets and pull EVERYTHING out. She also likes to go thru her daddy's letters too I have them all in a box and one day she got into them. She went one by one and pulled them all out. It is was too cute. I took pictures and sent it to my husband.

I got my plane ticket for $118 roud trip on Southwest, which is an awesome price!!! They have some great fares out of LA!

Char - Obe is very excited and very happy. He called this morning with the sad news that our current Matron of Honor's father passed away and now she'll be back in Iowa taking care of his affairs. We're not letting it get us down because I told Leese this morning and he'll pull through for us with allowing Obe's guests to be present until we're pronounced man and wife.

Well all my prayers go out to you Q- im so tired right now, i woke up yesterday at 4 am. and didnt go to bed till 6:30 am today. i was at the hospital with charlie from 10 to 6. He gots that same bug infection that was passed around in the prison not to long ago. So i was there caring for him. I had to get the guts and ask my daddy if i can go with him to the hospital and my dad said " whos charlie?" i told him, " its my boyfriend" so then my dad looked at me and said " go with him ,he needs your right now, just call us when you get to the hospital" So i think my dad is finally realizing that his little girl is all grown up! lol! but they gave charlie some meds, so now hes at the recovery house trying to get better. But i will keep you posted! I hope all works out for the best with the wedding. keep your head high!

Char - so very sorry about Charlie. Wow, isn't that something. He makes it through the trauma inside and then gets out and gets sick! I am glad that he is in a real hospital and that they're fixing him up. I'm sure he'll be good as new in a few days. Wow! Your folks had no clue about Charlie? I can't blame you. I 'fessed up 12 years ago about Obe and went through hell. This go 'round I haven't had the guts to tell them. My one brother, however, found out the other day when he asked me where Obe lived and I said Ione. Who woulda thunk my brother knew there was a prison in Ione! I imagine the rest of my family will find out soon since he's the ABC of the family! = American Broadcasting Company. You hang in there and I hope you get some rest.

Q- Well my mom has known. but not my dad..i mean he kinda knew but not all that much about how serious we are and stuff. till my mom opened her big mouth lol..but im glad she did, i cause i know i wouldnt of been able to do that..cause im a big daddys girl...lol so i know its going to be so hard for him to give me away at the wedding. But my brother has always knew but he has always been the one to talk shit and stuff...now hes a county sheriff and hes like yea im the law and blah blah blah..i told my bro. if you do anything to my man or anything messed up to have us go through hell...i wont know you as a brother but just another hipocrit. So then hes like " i would never do anything to make you or him un happy, hell charlie is so damn luck that he has a girl like you that was there with him from the jump. theres not many women that would go to hell and back for the one they love" so my bro. understands. OMG! Q- my dad got home from work and the first thing he said was " how is charlie? what was wrong with him? hope he gets better." wow i was so surprised! it made me feel so good that my dad actually asked about him. He would never have done that with my sisters! i think hes coming around realizing his little girl isnt so little..but i know that when charlie asks him for my hand, he will see me 6 years old again...you know his "cute little girl" ripping the head off her sisters barbie doll lol...oh i was bad when i was small! but he know how much i love charlie, cause with none of my other boyfriends that ive had. ive never asked to go see them when they were sick or even talk about them. But he knows charlie is different!

Thanks. jhe said hes doing much better, but his tummy still hurts a bit. he had to be on a clear diet then goes into puree diet then he can start eating soild, the doctor gave him that diet so his tummy can slowly get use to outside food. he thinks that why he got sick, he didnt quite kick the infection in there and when he got out, he just started eating food that his body isnt that used to, so he has to start out new lol..i tell him." sucks to be you" lol but he knows im kidding. hows obewan doing? hows your little boy?

Thank you everyone for the kind words! I'm doing just great recieved an 8 page letter from my love and it looks like soon they will either send him back to A yard or maybe even move him to another prison. To tell you the truth I really love this forum but I would love even more for him to be closer to home so visiting would be easier for me and my girls. Either way I'll pray on it and give it to the good lord to do as he sees fit with us that always seems to work best for me.

Hi everyone! I'm new to Mule Creek. My boyfriend got transferred from Avenal. He is now further away from me :( . He's actually been over there going on a couple of months now and I haven't visited him since January! I decided to go see him but I don't even know were to start. I was hoping someone can help me get on the ball and let me know what should be my first step. Should I call to make sure I can still visit? If so, what phone number should I call? I'm coming from Corona which is in the IE area and that's 6 to 7 hours away, should I drive or fly? (what is cheaper?:) ) Do I need to make an appointment? Also, I know when he was in Avenal I use to have to call right before I left to make sure they weren't on lock down, do they do this at Mule Creek also? I would hate to go all the way over there and not be able to visit. Please help, Any information will be soooo helpful.

John - welcome to the thread. Glad you found us. Visiting at the Train as I refer to that place is no sweat. Yes, call and see if your visiting approval transferred from Avenal. If not, get your sweetie to get a form, sign it and send it to you. Complete it and send it directly back to visiting processing. If you need the address, holler, I have it. Yes, do call the night before to check on lockdown status. Call 209-274-4911 and push 1 then 1 again and then 2. There maybe an 800 number, but I have a phone plan where I can call anywhere so I don't even pay attention to that. There is a thread for a Guide to MCSP where it probably has that info in it. Unless the honey is in the penthouse (Ad-Seg) you don't need to make an appointment to visit. Visiting is Friday (12:30p - 7:00p - if he qualifies), Saturday and Sunday (8:30a - 3:00p - no qualifications except you can't be in the penthouse obviously). If you have any more questions, holler.

Well, I finally finished backing up my puter and so I need to go to the cleaners to get things, cleaned, hemmed and pressed. Catch you all later.

I called to see if my visiting status was transferred and the lady said she was not allowed to give out that information but saw that he had a visiting list so if I had visited him before than I should be fine. Hopefully she is right and I don't go out there for nothing.

John - I was wondering if they would give you that information. Well, here's the deal -- you gotta talk to your man or write to him and ask him to get it verified just to make sure. Sounds like his list transferred, however. Also, you need to ask him which yard, but that's not such a big deal as I'm sure you know his CDC # and that's all you need. They look it up on the puter and write it on the slip. The pathways to the visiting rooms are clearly marked. Do you know what level he is? If you do, we can pretty much tell what yard he is on or if you know his building number for sure we can tell you. Don't sweat it. Like I said, if he's not in Ad-Seg (the hole) then you don't need an appointment. If he is in Ad-Seg, then you need an appointment and they're only an hour so that might be a real long trip if that is the case.

Laiturri called me this morning and I only need one witness so the felon party is on! Laiturri said he's not going to be the marriage coordinator anymore that they're passing that job onto the secretaries in each of the yards. So A yard has Miss Skidmore and you'll have to figure out the others in the other yards.

I didn't get technical with him, but they are on lockdown. He tried to holler to someone to see if it was modified or not, but the person didn't know. So, I'll go check the visitor line now and see if Nancy updated anything.

Loca - as much as I wish it were 6 and a wake up it's 7 and a wake up. The baby was so naughty last night. I left him in the car for about 4 minutes and he decided to show me who was boss and had caca up one side and down the other on the driver's side no less! I had to put him on the floor in the backseat because he was so messy and I couldn't wipe all of it off. He was none too happy to have to take a bath! Obe is fine, just locked down until I rescue him at a visit tomorrow morning. I hope the nephew settles down. Those babies sure can keep us hopping!

Now I'm getting really excited and can't sit still for a minute! How cool is it when things finally go your way for once.

Oh, I forgot -- I start working on Monday! :yay:

John - We're practically neighbors! I'm in north OC. Right now Southwest has a great $49 each way special! I think, even with renting a car, it's cheaper than driving. Plus, it's a lot faster. Check with Ant, she's flying up and wanted to split the cost of her rental car. Maybe you can do that? My kids are starting school that week, so no visit for me. :(

Okay guys, I am now at almost 2 yrs of not seeing my guy. I HAVE to get up there! I'm thinking of the weekend with Labor Day included for visiting. Who's going to be visiting then? I'll have to drive and bring the girls, don't have a sitter for that long of a time period. So, we shall see!

My litta munchkin is such a funny fellow even if he has an attitude problem when he's left alone in the car! :haha: A little while ago I'm sitting here and all of a sudden there's all this commotion and things falling all over the place (my office is quite a mess!) and I turn and look and there he is with my big clod hopper sandal in his mouth running in the room! The shoe is bigger than he is and yet he carries it like it's two inches big! He's all excited because tonight we go on our first road trip. He goes lots of places with me around town, but this will be a two hour drive. He'll have a ball seeing all the cows along the way!

Hi guys! I'm really sad and am asking for some prayer here. A friend of mine died last night. We weren't REALLY close, but we worked together and went on some trips together and I am in shock. She had a heart attack last month and was in need of angioplasty (sp?) Anyway, she went out with her husband last night and drove up into their driveway and had a seizure and died! She's only mid 50's! Her husband has major health problems and she took care of him! Sooo, who knows. So, if you could pray for Jim, her husband, and Shelly, her daughter, and the rest of the family, I would appreciate it. I'm still in shock. It happened so fast. She was quite a character and she will be missed. Talk to you all later!

Colo - hon, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. I know all about the caregiver going before the caree because that happened with my Mom too. Take care and you're in my prayers as well as your friend and that of her family. I hear you about telling those you love that you love them often because you never know what tomorrow will bring. I've practiced that for many years.

Good Morning I'm not sure who's here since it is the weekend but hello! Well check this out I went to the ER this morning very early because I've had this rash that just got out of control and the doctor tells me its Shingles which is brought on by stress and is caused by the virus that causes chicken pox! I couldn't believe my ears when she told me that! She says about 70 to 80 percent of the population who has had chicken pox will get it! Other than that I found out that my honey isn't the only one not getting his mail! I belong to the yahoo group for MC and Donna says her man isn't getting his mail either is anyone else having this problem?

Loc- I hope you get better soon! right now my left arm is hurting me so badly its hard to type. it feels like i have a pinched nerve or something..but i cant wait till tomorrow. me and my parents are going to get charlie and we are all going to the flea market for the day then to church. how fun, charlie hasnt been out with a family in the longest time, so im excited. and my dad has been asking about him for a while so its a good sign!

I go away for two days and you guys start falling apart on me! Snap out of it! :haha:

Loca - baby doll, stop this stressing nonsense. You're gonna get worse than shingles if you don't! I can't believe the baby man is not getting mail. Hi ladies! Thanks for your kindness! My friend's service is on Wednesday. In the meantime, one of my best friend's daughters (she calls me Mom#2) went into the hospital on Thur and finally had her baby on Sat. They had to do an emergency C section on her. Seems she's doing ok. But, her little boy, Christian, is having problems. Seems he may have an intestinal blockage and may have to have surgery. So, another prayer request, for little baby Christian and for his parent's too! Thank you guys in advance!

Nancy - YOU POOR THING! I've had shingles before, on my FACE, and BOY do they hurt. I'm so sorry you have to go through this, you'll be in my prayers!

:p Well i can just imagine how you girls are...wondering about my sunday morning and afternoon!! Well let me tell you...lol...

We picked up Charlie at 9ish, took off to the flea market, it was my rents, my sister and her husband and me and my baby! My dad and Charlie hit it off great, they both have so much in common from music to the love for welding and one day opening up a shop in texas, mind you lol..

We then came back to my parent's house, my older sister showed up with her husband, as all the son-in-laws were in the living room chilling with my dad, us girls were in the heat of the kitchen making lunch for them. We called them over to eat and we left the kitchen so the boys can eat and talk. Charlie kept looking at me, with this goofy face, like a child in a candy shop. My sisters then took off to do what ever it is that they needed to do that day, We were getting ready for church and Charlie then starts to talk to my dad about how hes more then ready to be a man and take care of himself and so then he did IT!! He asked my dad for my hand in marriage!!! :eek: <-- ME!! lol

my dad then tells him " listen, i want to see you do better in you life, i want to see you working hard to provide for my little girl and a family, i will give you a answer in a few months after you show me that you are ready, after you have your job, car and saving to get your own place. Then we will talk again, Ok"
Charlie smiles and tells my dad, " thank you sir, that is my plan, i want to show you im ready, I love your daughter very much and it would give me great honor to be a part of your family that has accepted me without judgement." as that said, my dad shook his hand and we took off to chruch...i was like shocked that charlie actually did it lol...after church we took him home and before we left, he then went a shook my dads hand again and said thank you for everything and expecially spending a day with your family, it was the best day ever. my dad then said anytime, you are a part of this family now.
Me and charlie then said bye and he called me later, telling me how much he loved being at our house and that the food we made was the best food every and he loved my family expecially my dad! lol i was like...you love him more then me?? lol
Thats pretty much how my day went...it was great, i loved every minute of it, just being with him. I will keep you all in post of how hes doing.

I hope and pray that you are all doing fine, I prayed for you and your boys yesterday. You are all in my prayers and heart. I love you guys!!

Colo- Sorry to hear about your friend, my prayers will go out to them indeed. I looked up Southwest and saw the prices. I need to hurry and buy a plane ticket but I'm waiting to find out what day I should go. Do you think the special will end soon? I live right by Ontario Airport its like $40 dollars more then LA I figure that's how much I would spend on gas getting to LA so I might as well go from Ontario :)
My Mom is actually going with me and spliting the room and car rental costs with me I'm so lucky for that! Oh yeah, Do you know where I would rent a car? Is it at the airport?

OK LADIES..... i just recieved a letter from my Dad letting me know that all hell had NOT broken loose at MCSp. Lol, could someone explain to me what a "moderate stabbing " means??? And that on Thursday they went on lockdown. Also something about a fight between 2 men that resulted in 5 being hauled off for questioning and ALL being released within 2 hours. I am sure I am just way behind on reading the posts, but am curious. I hope that none of your loved one's were involved and if they were , my prayers are with you.

Kam - here's the 411 on the incident from last week. A child molester got sliced up real good. His neck and abdomen and he lived. There were two people who took the rap and they were lifers without parole. They were on lockdown for part of Thursday and Friday, but they still had visiting on Friday. Don't panic - this kind of thing happens all the time.

Liz - congratulations on the month anniversary! Yes, Obe and I would be honored to have you and your hubby at our wedding. Leese said he'd let you do it. So, we'll have a real celebrationf or sure.

I do have another question about my upcoming visit. A year ago, I had broken my foot and the doctor had to put in a (very large) screw. Do I really need a letter from the doctor when I visit so I don't set off any bells or whistles??? Or can someone let me know if there is a number I should call before I visit.

We always think it will, but it doesn't. Doesn't help him to know you're totally stressed out either and may get him all riled up and doing goofy things that won't help him get out of the hole. He's fine, you'll be fine and he loves ya to death - that should help you lots to keep remembering that.

Sherri - cool you found us. If you think the screw will go off going through the metal detector, then, yes, unfortunately, you need a note from the doctor stating you have a screw. I would call the prison and talk to Nancy the secretary to Sgt. Leese x5410. She may take 24 hours to repsond to you so don't wait until the 11th hour to call and get that information verified. I have seen people with pacemakers and other metal pieces have to have notes.

Okay, so where's everybody hiding at? I'm getting married in 4 days and need some company for crying out loud! :haha:

Hello ladies...I have been trying to keep myself busy so that I don't think about how much I miss my husband! Too bad it isn't working! We are coming up on the 1 year anniversary of the day he went in, which also happens to be our 1 year wedding anniversary as well! We got married the morning of his sentencing! Although this year went by fairly fast, I have been driving myself crazy at the idea of having to do this for 3 more years!!!!! I pray every day that the laws change and due to the serious state of the overcrowded prisons, that they let the non-violent non-serious guys come home early!!! But aside from my prayers being answered, I have to prepare myself for another 3 whole years of dealing with prison politics, and being seperated from the love of my life! Normally, I am a very strong individual, and not much can bring me down, however lately, it's been real hard to keep a positive outlook. And I find myself getting mad at my husband and feeling resentment towards him for being a dumb dumb and doing something to risk his freedom! I love him to death, and I will never leave his side, but sometimes it's really hard to ignore the fact that he put us in this situation! This is his third time doing prison time, and it's his longest sentence...he swears to me that this is it....I pray every day that he is right!! I couldn't go through this again!
Sorry for the "uncheerfulness" of my post today!! I really don't want to bring anybody down with me!!!

Q- Congrats on your new job, happy to hear that you like it! I know you must have a serious case of butterflies in your stomache by now!!!! I am excited for you!

JohnD- Welcome to our group! Flying is probably the easiest way to visit! Southwest makes it affordable with their specials!! I have flown into Sac once for a family visit. I rented a car, they have a shuttle that takes you to the rental cars right outside the airport.

Liz- How are you doing sweetie? Have more energy yet? I know what you mean about feeling tired! I think the heat drains all your energy! When it's hot like this, I just feel like laying around in front of the fan and being lazy!!!

As a reminder although this probably did happen just as you said to an individual with those charges, please be sensitive to the fact that non of us know the charges of some of the individual's loved ones on here and this can be found offensive. None of us know who is really guilty and who is innocent. We all know that the law is not always fair. I know that there are people on here that have shared with me what their loved ones did, and lets just say there is a wide variety of charges amoungst our group. We all have one thing in common, we all love these men, believe in them and feel that at some point some of this in unfair.

Q: please do not take this personnal because it is not in any way a reflextion on you, you just stated the facts.

I just want to make sure everyone knows that we are not here to judge. We don't know if the man who was stabbed really did the crime, we don't know if his family member is one of the people that visits our sight just to read occasionally. That is what some of the guys that are in prison don't see, they really don't know who did what, only God knows, and it's a crime to take it upon themselves to do harm to another person who did nothing to them.

It's sad that even though they are lifers they don't try to improve themselves, they make it harder on the rest that wish for hope.

Hi, girls! Hope you're all well. I'm doing okay. Just real busy running around in between working. I think I have everything together for the wedding except the garter which is at the cleaners to be sewn together. I had two that I had been keeping and when I opened them up they would hardly fit a doll let alone me! So I got the bright idea to put them together and make one. I'll pick that up Thursday and then for sure all will be done.

Thank you all so much for all your kind thoughts and wishes. I wish I could talk to Obe but he's such a stickler for saving money he won't call but every few days! :haha: Gotta love him for being so concerned, but I told him $6 phone calls wouldn't put us in the poorhouse, it's sending the packages and money that will! :haha: That he's not willing to give up, however! :haha: He would if I really asked him to but as I don't have the heart.

Ant - I know exactly what you're going through as I've been there with Obe. He's been in and out most of his life and swears this is the last time. This time I believe him because of the EOP program and I've seen such a remarkable change in him. I sometimes go off half cocked on him because I can't believe he got himself back in there when I handed him everything on a silver platter 12 years ago. Then he gets all bent out of shape because he's done everything he can to turn his life around and I don't always leave it alone. Then we talk about it and he listens and I listen and we get back to where we were on the posititve track. So, you are not alone in your feelings whatsoever. Hang in there and keep the faith. Well ladies. This is a pile of crap! Ok My Mom, step~Dad and MY 17 year old son are en~route to Mule creek. The WHOLE reason for them taking this vacation was to be able to see my Dad!!! The visitation forms were filled out and sent in advance. My Mom made several phone calls to the facility to make sure that everything we sent was ALL they needed. I called yesterday to make sure they had cleared...... 1). THEY DO NOT GIVE OUT THAT INFO OVER THE PHONE. 2). iT IS THE RESPONSIBILTY OF THE INMATE TO NOTIFY FAMILY MEMBERS IF THEY HAVE BEEN APPROVED OR NOT. 3). YOU NEED AN ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE FOR ANY MINORS.......... Now, please keep in mind that thay are traveling FROM Missouri to California. They are just afew hours away from Mule Creek. CAN YOU SAY NO BIRTH CERTIFICATE????????????? Not sure at this point what theya re going to do or how they are going to get it done. There are places online to get them, but we are not sure how long it will take. So at this point they are not sure what they will do. They have a certain amount of time to be in certain places. No~one is happy about this. My Dad has not seen my son since he was about 2. I will keep you all posted.

Kam- I am so sorry to hear about this craziness but don't give up yet sweetie where there is a will there is a way have faith. Look just a suggestion but why don't you get the birth certificate and then fax it to your mom? I'm sure there is somepleace like a Kinkos or Staples that has a fax machine? Hope my suggestion helps you out. I'll say a prayer for you all !

Q- Gosh almost about to be Mrs. Obewan and starting a new job what a hectic week, you really are a glutton for punishment aren't you ..lol but we all know how long you've both been waiting for this day so it will all be well worth it! Make sure to take lots of pretty pics and post asap so we can all see them ok!

Morning! I'm sitting here in a conference room and just spent about 3 hours messing with expense reports that if we did by hand would have been done in about half an hour! Gotta love modern technology.

Yeah, I gave up sleeping for sure. I gotta figure something out or have bags under my eyes big time. At least all the stuff for the wedding is pretty much done.

Kam - oh no about forgetting the birth certificate! i hope it all works out as it would be a real shame if your son couldn't visit. just in case -- the Friend's Outside trailer does babysitting. I know that's no consolation.

Ant- Thanks for letting me know about being able to ride a shuttle to go rent a car. I think I'm going solo after all so I'm going to be soooo lost out there not to mention scared, I haven't gotten on a plane since I was a little girl. Anyhow, keep your head up. I understand completely what you're going threw. To be honest, it's nice hearing once in awhile that I'm not the only one finding myself getting mad at my love for being were he's at but its like what liz said everything happens for a reason and it will definitely make your relationship stronger.
Again, Thank you all for your help and support. I will most likely be coming to you all for your help again the day before I go visit, just to make sure I know what the heck I'm doing. :)
